Re: Limiting Processing Cores for TM1 Server
... or taking out one processor chip... Does that actually change the PVU rating? The IBM PVU Table states "Maximum number of sockets per server" rather than "Number of sockets that actually have a chip in them". So wouldn't it be necessary to change the motherboard? I've asked ...

Re: Creating subsets on }Cubes & }Dimensions
I'm sure I have had subsets in control dimensions in the past without issue so I suspect this is new "functionality" that has arrived with 10.1. I don't think this is that new. I can't remember where I had this issue before, but a have a feeling it was at a client who was using CX, and if...

Re: Unable to open TM1 WEB page
Maybe you've done this already, but it might be worth having a look in the web.config itself. From memory there are a whole bunch of lines in there that are specific to .Net 4. I don't recall if you have to do something to include them, or exclude them.

Re: Creating subsets on }Cubes & }Dimensions
Create a TI Process that has code to re-create the subsets in question, add that TI to a chore and specify that chore against the StartUpChores line in the tm1s.cfg.

Re: Is there a way to get the Data Directory Location in TI?
I'm with Paul on the parsing the cfg file route. Even if you don't know the absolute path to the DataBaseDirectory, you should have a consistent relative path from there to the directory that contains the cfg file. If you don't, you should do. When you create your process, point the DSN (for Client)...

Re: Data value retains in web-sheets
That way when you select it in one, the second will also pick it up via a DBRW (albeit needing a recalc if the second page was already open.) If you are using the 2d cube approach (which I do myself, as I find the passing of title elements via action button is, er, inconsistent) then use a DBR to t...

Re: Action Button's Advanced Properties not working in TM1 w
I have had this issue in the past. I gave up using the Action Button method of transferring the values and used a Cube with some judicious dbsw and dbrw formulae instead.

Re: How to add string elements into consolidated elements in
...string elements ... can't be added as a child in a consolidation. Not directly in a TI or through Dimension Editor, but as the OP says, you can add Simple elements as children (using either TI or DimEd) and then change their element type to String in Dimension Editor. Maintaining the dimension a...

Re: Extended TM1top
I can not end any process execute or object duplicate . There were issues with some of the early releases of 9 whereby threads showing ObjectDuplicate could hang the server. I don't have a copy of the 9.0 manuals, so check your documentation to see if ReceiveProgressResponseTimeoutSecs is available...

Re: Another TM1 TOP
By default the installer will create environment variable pointing to TM1 9.5 default installation path "C:\Program Files\Cognos\TM1\bin" if your are using TM1 9.5 and installed on default location then no need to worry. Given that 10.1 onwards has a different default location would it be...

Re: Cube Serialized messages in TM1 transaction logs
We're talking about the Transaction log here, not the Message log. So I don't think changing anything in tm1s-log.properties will have any effect.

Re: Cube Serialized messages in TM1 transaction logs
As the CubeSerialized messages are in the Transaction Log to enable the most efficient use of the logs with CubeSaveData (rather than SaveDataAll) I doubt there would be a way of stopping them being added.

Re: IBM Cognos TM1 Performance Modeler
One of the new features of TM1 Applications in v10.1 (the new name for Contributor) is the ability to use WebSheets in your approval process. You still need to use the browser based interface (unless you want to replicate the workflow logic in Excel) and you have to manually tell the application whi...

Re: 55: Object Not Found for TM1 Websheet
Try reloading the navigation tree and open the web sheet again. It is possibly the case that you have deleted and then re-Uploaded a web sheet using an existing name. (Which seems to be a requirement these days as Updating websheets gives me a pile of garbage when I reopen them.) The issue is that t...

When you preview the file, you are running the preview in the context of the user that you are currently logged on as, and using the file name as supplied in the Data Source Name box. When you execute the process, you are doing so in the context of the user account that is running the TM1 service, a...

I think it is down to the multinational help files. I did an install the other day and, just before I deleted all the languages that I am never going to use - so I can reclaim the GBs of disk space that these waste, I spotted that the directory creation times were about 6 minutes apart. 6 minutes by...

Have you made any changes in the rule in Architect/Perspectives? I would try shutting the server down, physically removing the .RUX file (and the .BLB if it exists) and restarting the server.
