Re: Security assignment question

So in your employee cube, you have merged the Department Dimension with Employee DImension into one singe dimension ( where Departments are Consolidated Nodes and EMployees are Leaf Nodes? ), or you have 2 separate dimensions in the cube? If you have one single dimension, then in your Rules or TI pr...

Re: TM1WEB 10.2.2 URL API

HI Ardi, I may not have the exact same reports but where I have a Summary report (AF) with Employees on the rows, possibly Months on Columns and other elements in either Title/Row/Column, I may want to transfer to a detail report for further analysis. Using the action button's Advanced Options, I c...

Re: TM1WEB 10.2.2 URL API

Yes, you can do it with an action button but it's rather clunky. First, the user must click on a DBRW based cell , then they click on the action button. Would be much nicer if they only had to click once on a hyperlink. Also, as mentioned, they have to click on a DBRW cell. If you have an active fo...

Re: TM1WEB 10.2.2 URL API

Hi gtonkin, It would be wonderful if what Tom is trying to achieve can be done with Action Buttons. He wants to pass the selected row in active form to the destination sheet. So if the user clicks on row 10 for example, all the relevant data from row 10, pass to the destination sheet as title filter...

Re: Migration issue in TM1 10.2.2 (Web URL API)

FYI. The solution is: &Title_<DimensionName> replace &title_S1-R33-C2 Cheers, Thanks for sharing the solution. I worked with TM1Web URL API in previous version ( 10.1 ), and when I checked this in 10.2.2, I noticed that everytime you click on a hyperlinked cell in TM1Web, it opens a new bro...

Re: Is Cognos TM1 getting better?

I have been working with 10.2, 10.2.2 and all possible hotfixes, and the TM1Web part, is too bad. It has many bugs, and by bugs I mean dangerous bugs. The back end is better, and MTQ is a good feature but the behavior of TM1Web is really painful, so I would say its not a finished product. We have re...

Re: Serious issue related to TM1Web Undo button

The only significant differences we have are below:

ServerLogging=F
SecurityPackageName=Kerberos
IntegratedSecurityMode=3
UseSSL=F
PersistentFeeders=F
DisableSandboxing=T

So probably Sandboxing or Security mode we are using are the cause of this issue

Re: Serious issue related to TM1Web Undo button

Curious if you have any interim fix packs (IF's), or official fix packs (FP's) installed? We are on 10.2.2 IF3 which is pre-FP1, and I can't reproduce the issue. We do have cube logging enabled, but I can only undo my committed entries. Another user can't undo mine. Maybe they fixed this in FP1? Or...

Really looking forward to reproducing the issue using your instructions and adding our voice to IBM to get this fixed properly.

Thanks
Were you able to reproduce the issue?

Re: Copy data at consolidated level

Your best approach should be to write C: level rules in your destination cube. The good thing about these C: rules is that you don't need to FEED them. All the other approaches I mentioned can be used but they might really complicate your model a lot. I hate Rules myself and I try to avoid using the...

Re: Copy data at consolidated level

If you want the data to consolidate in the same way they consolidate in source cube, you need to write c: level rules in destination cube too. The only other way would be to use a string measure and then store the consolidated amounts as string but this will be a dirty solution and might have other ...

Re: Serious issue related to TM1Web Undo button

SaveData does not help. EVen after the savedate is executed ( through TI or manually ), still the UNDO will go to the previously saved tm1sXXXXXXX.log files. It is so easy to reproduce. So if you have a websheet with an Action button that runs a TI process and click on it, then after the TI is finis...

Serious issue related to TM1Web Undo button

So we just discovered a huge issue with TM1Web undo button. We are using TM1 10.2.2, and yesterday I noticed that, if you by accident click the UNDO button, it will undo the last transactions entered manually by any user, and even worse, if the last transactions are a TI process load, then will try ...

You can embed the above statement with TM1FILTERBYLEVEL and that will give you only level zero elements

Re: Best Practice for Action Button that Run a TI Process

The first calculate option on the Calculation tab is to calculate before running the TI. Usually this is unnecessary unless there are parameters for the TI that are in formula driven cells which might need to have recalculation forced to ensure that the TI runs with the correct params. The 2nd calc...

Re: Best Practice for Action Button that Run a TI Process

Usually I just select the option to Recalculate only under the first Tab ( Calculate ). This way you make sure that the data is committed before the TI kicks in. You can leave the other option unselected if the TI is not changing any of the data displayed in the websheet. I AGREE that this is very c...

Re: TM1Web URL API

Hi, I was hoping IBM has made some improvement in the TM1Web URL API in the newer version, but it's worse. In 10.1, when you clicked on a URL, it opened the "Navigate To" sheet, in a new browser session, but then every other sheet opens on that same browser session. In 10.2.2, every time y...

TM1 10.2.2 Performance Issue with Large websheets

Re: Can not connet TM1 Web to Admin Host

did you try to type in the ADMIN Host Server name in the TM1Web login page?
If this works, then in order to populate your drop down automatically, you need to add your admin host in tm1web_config.xml file
