Re: Server upgrade
Well, good news is I found how to fix that. Bad news is that I broke the mail server in the meantime. Seems I don't have the anti spam/authentications settings setup correctly. Probably won't get to it for a few days now, so will have to be manual checkups in the meantime. Apologies. It's kicked up...

Re: Server upgrade
All done with the server upgrade but as usual I'm having trouble with getting the subscription emails to work. It seems to be ok about sending you a response if you've logged in since your last advisory email, but otherwise it won't send you anything. I'll have another crack later. Otherwise let me...

Re: TM1 Boot Time is 7 hours (Can anyone help please)
I have a TM1 Server with the latest patches on Windows 2016 Server, TM1 is installed as a HyperV VM. With 128GB of Ram the database is around 80GB or60GB in size. It takes 7 hours to reboot the TM1 Service. How can this be resolved ? This raises more questions than suggestions. Is this only a recen...

Hi All, Unable to refresh contents of widget CCL Runtime Error. Hi, I am new to TM1. I loaded a data in cube but when i try to open it, it shows error that (Objectlistisempty) Customer : View title subset is empty kindly Help It sounds like you have a stuffed Default view; it was probably made up of one or more subsets that have since had their elements deleted...

Re: Fix Pack Releases: PA2 / V11 Series
Yes folks, it's that time of the cadence again. Well, sort of... it has been only 2 months since the last one although I'm a little tardy putting this one up. The e-mail came out 6 days ago but I only saw it this evening. Version 2.0.9.10 is now out. PAL 2.0.9.10 (14 Sep 2021) Release Page . Key Fix...

Re: Public Dataset suitable for TM1
It is not actually included in my university course. I'm doing postgraduate studies called 'Business Intelligence' and in order to get a diploma I need to create a model in any BI Tool, and since I have access to TM1 at my workplace I chose it over tools offered by the university (e.g. tableau) ;) ...

Re: Alternate Solutions to TM1
The will (and should and kind of already have on the cloud) move to OpenID. TM1 server already allows for OpenID connections today (Secret security mode 6 anyone). So I am pretty sure it will not change backend-wise dramatically with v12. So instead of PAW you can use either other tools or programm...

Re: Concatenating element name and attribute value in rules
AttrS will retrieve a string attribute in a rule. I would expect this to work to populate another String attribute (I've never tried it) but I'm not at all sure that a rule will (or should) work to populate an alias. The problem is that an alias needs to be a unique identifier across the principal n...

Re: Import Views without restart
Thank you for your replay. I right clicked on the cube and I only found unload button , where can I find the reload button ? Unloaded cubes are automatically reloaded the first time they're queried. It doesn't need to be done manually. All you need to do is double click on it to launch the default ...

Re: Alternate Solutions to TM1
It's disappointing that xam2iks didn't do a follow up on this because I think it had - has, in fact - the potential to be a most interesting conversation. MarenC makes a good point; if one did not know better - and one does not - one MIGHT feel that part of the reason that IBM is trying to overcompl...

Re: View to show first item in subset dynamically
As an alternative that may leave Alan (and others) :o and  , you could just edit the .vue file, replace the element being addressed with one that does not exist and save. When you restart the server, the view will work as described above. I'm not sure why, but I rend to regard any process wh...

Re: View to show first item in subset dynamically
To make slicing easier I edited the MDX statement to show the current stage as first item then other ones excluding the current stage. For example, if current stage is 2 then the the subset will look like this: 2 1 3 4 5 6 However, I found out the view will save the selected element. So if my curre...

Re: Fix Pack Releases: PA2 / V11 Series
I've just been provided with a rather interesting piece of information. The original end of support dates for 2.0.0 to 2.0.7 was 30 September 2021. This has just been restated as 30 September 2022, so everything from 2.0.0 to 2.0.8 will go off support at the same time. That provides a significant ch...

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0.9.9
Interesting Alan that you can reproduce it since the IBM engineer was not able to reproduce. Problem seems to be linked to the mere presence of a Personal.xlsb macro folder. Even if completely empty, the fact that the file exists (for me: "C:\Users\WGielis\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTA...

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0.9.9
I am exploring Visual Studio Code and I like it. I can see me using that platform more. PAW is being adopted more, too, so that will mean less time spent in the TI editor as well. As you know I long since left the Editorsaurus behind for Arc. As you also know I want nothing to do with PAW since I c...

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0.9.9
No workbook is active/opened. You use TM1 > Explorer to log on in Perspectives. You open a view on a random cube and ask for an Active form to Excel. Nothing out of the ordinary I would say. Bam ! Error ! It looks like you also have Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX / PAfE) open. This will cause an...

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0.9.9
I cannot reproduce anymore the variable counts that I have in the corrupt PRO process, with a new process. I still have the cube and view that is the data source of the process, and no matter what I do, I cannot get the same result. I had indeed wondered about the V1 to V24 names. A process with a ...
