Dynamic Subset with Expand Above

Hi, I'm working on a dynamic subset and couldn't figure out what's wrong. I have a P&L dimension. (Net Profit) > Revenue > Gross Exp Now there's a special request in that they want to see: (Net Profit) > Revenue item 1 > Revenue item 2 ... > Revenue > Gross Exp item 1 > Gross Exp item 2 ... > Gr...

Re: Running PA objects in 10.2

Thanks for the information. I'll have to check the version of PA and note this issue. Answer is no unless it is the latest version of 10.2.2 FP7 plus fix packs. There was a recent IF to 10.2.2 FP7 which correlated to a IF of PA 2.0.2 or 2.0.3 which introduced a change to format of cube files. If you...

Re: Running PA objects in 10.2

Truth is we haven't tested it yet. We just want to gather intel from other then plan based on the knowledge.

Thanks!
tomok wrote: Fri Apr 06, 2018 1:21 pm I think as long as you have not used any of the new features of PA then the answer would be yes. Have you tried? I would do that before I would take anyone's word for it.

Running PA objects in 10.2

Hi,

Can cubes, dimensions, rules, TI etc. developed in PA be copied straightly and run in 10.2 w/o any modification?

I believe running 10.2 objects in PA is OK. Not sure the otherwise.

Thanks.

Re: Improve TI Processing Time

MDX is used as data source, but cells being written is not used for rules nor feeders. Also tried using external file, doesn't really help. I will stop worrying about this for now. Thanks. Kenneth Are you writing values to cells that are used as sources (on the LHS) for feeders? If so, it can be slo...

Improve TI Processing Time

Hi, I'm trying to find some idea on how to improve TI processing time. I have a process that transfer salary budget data cube into operating budget cube. Summarized salary data is mapped to operating budget cube based on gl accounts. The process consists of: Prolog - setting up variables, create sou...

Re: Server Crash Due To Page File

We have one daily process. It ran about 9 hours before crash, didn't notice any error message. What I meant by loading means running TI to load csv file for building dimension. What I meant to say was we were not doing anything out of ordinary for the last few years. Right now I'm monitoring the fre...

Re: Server Crash Due To Page File

Here's the interesting thing, we haven't loaded or modified any new dimension, cube, hierarchy whatsoever. When the memory from server stat reached 98G, my cube stat totals 6G only, which gives me no clue of which cube is giving me issue. Kenneth Have you by any chance got any CA reports looking at ...

Server Crash Due To Page File

One of our instance has been crashing 3 times for the last 2 days. The immediate reason is that there was no more free disk space for read and write of temporary files. At worst only 80k was available before crash. We have a small model and here's what I know about our setup: Total memory = 32GB Tot...

I start noticing that this ONLY happens in 2013 Excel, 2010 Excel has no issue at all.

Re: MDX in TI to include additional group of the same dimension

Thanks for the explanation! It works, Thanks! May I ask when curly bracket is needed? Kenneth When the MDX function/property returns a member, not a set, the curly bracket defines it as a set. In your case with the TM1drilldownmember, it operates on each member of a set, so it requires a set definit...

MDX in TI to include additional group of the same dimension

Hi, By help I received here certain months ago I have the following MDX statement to drill down and filter to include only level 0 elements of a certain group in a dimension. It looks like this: sMDX = '{TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( TM1DRILLDOWNMEMBER( {[' | vDimName | '].[(PROPOSED BUDGET)]}, ALL, RECURSIVE),...
