TM1 10.1 - Trace Calculation behaviour
Afternoon all I am doing some parallel testing of TM1 version 10.1 against 9.4 (both 64bit) I have found some calculation differences, and fully expected them to be down to the volumes of data that I am working through, but I have stumbled upon something odd When I try to right-click on a calculated...

Re: Client last log-in date
You can find this out by importing the Audit log file (provided that you have them enabled), and you can see what has happened by day With some TI manipulation you see when a client logged in last, changed passwords, changed groups, as well as server shutdowns / restarts, and process / dim / cube ch...

Re: Clearing Out Rules during Run Time
Size isn't everything ! I do something similar - clearing out multiple rule files, and rewriting the rules ( and inter-cube feeders ) again based on an Excel spreadsheet loaded into a Data Warehouse, via a cube that holds dimensional mappings For your problem, I'd start with the blb scenario first A...

Oracle OLAP
Hi all
Hope this is the correct place for this post
Can anyone point me in the direction of finding out, or let me know their own experience in, the difference between Oracle OLAP and TM1?
Thanks
Anthony

Re: 9.4 export to Oracle speed
Thanks for the replies David - that was the way I was thinking I was going to go unfortunately, though there is talk of trying to use TM1 as a datasource and suck the data back into Oracle instead of push it out Afshin - I will pass on your message to the people who have more Oracle knowledge than m...

9.4 export to Oracle speed
Morning all I am exporting data from a 7 dimension cube (pulling in ruled data from around 15 other 6/7/8 dimension cubes) to an Oracle 10g database. (TM1 version 9.4 MR1 64bit, 40Gb memory, 24 Core 2.8Ghz Six-Core AMD Opteron 8439 SE processor) Depending on the time of day I get anywhere between 30...

Re: 64 bit Access ODBC connection
Apologies, but I was told that we were using a 64 bit driver.
That possibly doesn't seem to be the issue really - it's more why can I connect to the database on the same server, and not on another one?

64 bit Access ODBC connection
Apologies if this is a basic question, but it's something I have not come up against before On Server A, I have 64 bit TM1 9.4 MR1 installed. I have configured a 64-bit ODBC Access driver and can quite happilly connect to a database on the same server If I move the Access DB to Server B, and reconfi...

Re: Server connectivity - or rather, a lack of it
Everything for both servers - ini / cfg / security / cubes / account used to run services is exactly the same
When you use Perspectives, and click on the server name, nothing happens bar the spinning egg-timer. You do not get the username / password prompt appearing

Server connectivity - or rather, a lack of it
I have installed a 9.4 MR1 version of TM1 onto a server. This is in addition to the 2 servers we already have successfully up and running. From a 9.4 client I can happilly see the databases - 2 copies of existing databases to check installation. When I open the databases on the server itself, everyt...

I am working on trying to get the ETLDAP tool correctly configured and have hit a wall I have managed to connect to the LDAP server, and the TM1 server - both giving connection succesful messages - but the <Search> button is still greyed out. Also, would anyone be able to point me in the direction i...

Re: Another Feeder Question
Hi David Thanks for the reply - hope things are well? Cube 2 is being used as a staging area, so that some metrics can be expanded to fill the reporting dates. Cube 3 then uses these values by date, and applies them to another dimension. I was thinking of doing away with Cube 2, thus reducing one lo...

Re: MDX Question
Not that I am in any way proficient with MDX, but I think that your example will only do a UNION between the first two statements, if at all I would either try to limit the FILTERBYPATTERN to look for anything that starts with an "l" or try the following TM1SORT( UNION( UNION( UNION( UNION...
