Hi,
I did a check on 9.5.2 some days ago, it works now for both things, slicing more than 65k rows to Excel as well as having more than 65k rows in xdi-files.
9.5.1 did not support this when it was released, however I did not recheck every 9.5.1 Hotfix in the meantime.

Re: Effect of many c-elements in hierarchy in a dim
Hi, did you try to turn off the "ViewConsolidationOptimization" setting in tm1s.cfg? If this does not help ... I have had a similar issue after moving from version 7 to 8. The dim is not part of the grid, used for rule based what-if's and has a ratio of 1 N- to approx. 1800 C-elements abov...

Re: Reg Installation concern
Interesting finding ... the confused rules. I never experienced this since early TM1 server 6 times. Currently we are running mixed 9.0 to 9.5.2 / x86 + x64 / service + foreground on testmachine, including intensive usage because very different models are covered. # installed services for TM1 server...

Re: How to create Attributes using Dimension worksheets.
Yes, this is possible but not officially supported as far as I know, so the usage might cause other trouble, but I am not aware of it. I use this from time to time instead writing a TI and loop through a list of attribute elements to edit larger attribute dimensions. Let's say you have a dimension t...

Re: Sandboxes
Hi John,
my IBM contact told me, this is always the second question after a user has started to use sandboxes ... and no, not possible with 9.5.1,
but it might change with one of the next releases because everybody is asking for.
Regards

Re: TI Process Restarts itself
Hi,
are you doing batch updates? In general, please check TI documentation for rollback mechanism, this was introduced along with 9.1.
The TI needs to be able to write to destinations, otherwise it will rollback and restart process.

Re: Unable to swap dimensions in cube viewer
Hi, in 9.5.1 you are able to limit SE usage, are there any switches set and you are not aware of it? (ref. to cube }capabilities) Also, I have actually seen a different behavior depending on 32 vs. 64 bit version Win 7. Both are supported, Client / Perspectives / Architect are 32 bit anyway, since 6...

Re: Techniques for handling very large models
Hi David, my question would be, is there a duplication in your feeder information? I guess yes. Usually there is a source dataset which is small enough to be loaded, but feeding goes into one or more dims/elements which represent derived versions of your initial dataset (calculated of course). One p...

Re: memory under-usage problem
Hi, I did not test this using 9.5.1, my previous version was 9.0.3 U9 and I could use 4 GB under 32 bit TM1 / 64 bit Win 2003 (ran this for about 2 years), now I am on 64 / 64. Since I had an upgrade from 32 / 32 to 32 / 64 I wanted to see how the change will affect my available memory. I recognized...

Re: Cannot use Roll Up for dimensions with Element Security
Hi, the issue is caused by a bug which came along with one of the later 9.5.1 Hotfixes (I think #8). We have raised this as an issue and were told this will be solved with HF10. TM1 9.5.1 HF10 (Ver. 9.5.10010.10511) is available since Nov 22, officially released on Dec9, 2010. I did some short tests...
