Re: AS Guide
Jim, I wouldn't spend too much time with AS2000. There's a difference in MDX (attribute hierarchies and natural hierarchies in SSAS2005) as well as on the ETL side (DTS for SQL 2000 is different from SS Integration Services 2005). You would have to start with 2005 nearly from scratch any way. Cheers...

Re: AS Guide
Hi, some sources may help you: - "Delivering Business Intelligence with Microsoft SQL Server 2005" by Brian Larson. It covers the ETL steps as well. SSAS is not only about MDX but SQL as well. - "MDX Solutions" by Spofford et al. Single chapters are very good and the appendices a...

Jim,
when refrehing your dimensions, never delete N-elements! It's a source of many errors. Just do a simple check on the level in TI.
Cheers,
Marcus

Re: TM1 MDX problem
Hi all, I appreciate your approach to dynamic subsets with MDX. In the past I used this wonderful TI to build it and it worked well and fast. So I wonder if there are advantages using the MDX approach. Maybe the older TM1 experts have compared both approaches and can give me and us some insight abou...

Re: TM1 MDX Count rows in Excel Containing Data
bhinbest,
you probably don't need a Transaction ID dimension at all. Your end users won't do any analysis on it. Free yourself from this OLTP point of BI. Just make sure the elements in your analysis dimensions have unique names.
Cheers,
Marcus
