Re: ODBC Read Error

I added

Code: Select all

UseSQLExtendedFetch=T
to the CFG file but the server log isn't telling me anything more than it was before.

Re: ODBC Read Error

Many thanks and no I haven't, but I will now. We think it's a communication issue in in Azure rather a software issue that will help.

ODBC Read Error

Guys, I'm testing 2.0.9.2 and I'm getting an ODBC error when I run a process. The process retrieves data from the DB in the preview pane but when I execute it the process runs successfully but when I check the log I see that the server is reporting tm1.sqlapi read error and no data is updated in the...

Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )

...that is until we found out that you don't need a Workspace license to install it if you're only using it for PAx. After all certain CA licenses come with PAx licenses built in, so how else would you be able leverage it? The other caveat is that Workspace license is only required for end users. A...

Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )

The client I'm working at recently upgraded from 10.2.2 to PA 2.0.7. (BTW avoid 2.0.7 there's a server side bug that caused random crashes for us so we had to move to 2.0.9) We did not install Workspace at all. We are continuing (for now) to use both TM1 Web and Perspectives. But you do need to keep...

Re: PA Cloud Optimization

Many thanks. We're looking to move the TM1 services to the cloud over the next couple of weeks. I'll also ask our CA guys to have a look at the data sources. I think we're on PA but I'm not 100% certain,

Jim.

Re: PA Cloud Optimization

Try switching to native logon. If that works better you know its a CAM issue. I will on a non prod server and see if it makes a difference. Is it a windows server or linux? It's windows for all of them. Are you using IIS? Yes IIS is being used for both CA and CAM Are you using SSL? If so for which ...

You should put this in the useful code section of the site. It's very useful and in the main forum it will get moved down quickly. Let me know if you'd like it moved over there?

Re: PA Cloud Optimization

Hey Paul, We are using CAM and it is located on the same server as both CA and TM1 Web. We have noticed some slow down with templates but that has been less consistent than the subset, so we've put that down to the pipe width which we have just increased. I will look to do the test with STET. The pr...

Re: TM1py 1.6

Slightly harsh, Jim. If we were talking about arc or pulse then fair enough, but tm1py seems to me to be the epitome of open source and non-commercial. Regards I hear you, but we try to keep product releases (open source or otherwise) out of the main forum as things start to get very shaky very qui...

Re: PA Cloud Optimization

Hey Paul, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. All is well at our end just a little bit snowy today. We've about 1 1/2 foot of the stuff today so far and it ain't going to stop snowing until tomorrow. So I may be living in a igloo by this time tomorrow :) I hope all is well at your end? As for ...

PA Cloud Optimization

Guys, We are running PA 2.0.7 and CA 11.1.4. We're seeing really slow performance when running a report / view containing one of our larger dimensions. The dimension has roughly 4000 members. In the cube viewer when opening the subset in TM1 Web it takes a couple of minutes to come back. When openin...

Re: Hey US, hey UK, do you even(ever?) hire overseas?

I took a job in the US (10 years ago) and had to got through the process. Unless you are transferring within a company you have to go through the H1B process. Over the last few years this has become harder as there is such demand for them from IT workers in India. There are only 64k issued per year ...

Re: Excel =SUBNM Limitations

If you're combining the SubNM with other large amounts of formulas you may hit some performance issues down to just volume. I've only ever tried doing this kind of thing with old web forms rather than the newer stuff though.

Re: Question about the dependency between Metadata and Data

I think this should be pinned for a short while. The way tabs work is something fundamental to TI and there are plenty of people out that may not understand it fully, Especially how dimension inserts work on a ghost copy etc.
