Re: Does more RAM slow down server start times?

If your servers have a different number of cores, are you sure, that you run the same processor architecture with same clocking?
This is the first thing to make sure, as both criteria, cube load and feeder processing, have a direct link to these properties.

Re: Cube View in descending order as data source in TI

Another way of doing things like that is to build your own While ... End loops on respective TI tabs for those dims, where you wish to have a certain order on. In that case you have to use a single C-element for these dims in your view. And you need to exclude C-elements in all other dims that are a...

Re: Picklist issue in TM1 Application

Not sure if this will help in your case, but I saw Picklists have a different behaviour depending on what they are based on. For example, large lists based on dim don't work in every GUI, but if exact same elements are part of a subset and this subset is used as alternative source, your Picklist wor...

Re: Carriage return in text string for TM1 Web

I haven't mentioned that in particular, but the application server needs to be stopped before deletion and after deletion it can be restarted again.
The temp files are always under the subfolders, that's correct.

Re: Carriage return in text string for TM1 Web

Have you cleared all temp file under C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost? You can delete the "pmpsvc" folder or, in case you just use TM1 Web from the newer products, the whole localhost folder. Don't forget to clear your local browser's cache. Both things tog...

Re: Negative number issue with TM1 10.2.2 FP3

I was told, that the error only occurs in Excel sheets published in Web, if the respective DBR/DBRW does not refer to a stargate view. So, if the VIEW function is used it should be ok.

You didn't mention which Fix Pack you are running, there are multiple issues with Action Buttons solved with FP2. Labels which disappear etc.

Re: TM1 Server RAM

For pure TM1 I always start with looking for the ratio of stored volume in DB folder (excluding .feeder) compared to size in RAM.
1:1 is ok, anything else with RAM usage is larger than HD is at least worth to think of optimizations.

Re: TM1 Web 10.2 Integrated Login Kerberos setup

Hi AMIGO, the REALM usually equals your domain name, but is managed with upper case, so a domain "mydomain.com" would have a REALM mapped to it called "MYDOMAIN.COM". That's a kind of best practise, however your network folks might have used a different name, but only they can te...

Re: TM1 Web 10.2 Integrated Login Kerberos setup

Not sure, if this really causes the problem, but your realm name should be in upper case, something like "myname@MYCOMPANY.COM". So please review the krb5.conf to get this corrected. First step, what happens (after TM1 Application service restart), if you have changed it to ... [libdefault...

Re: TM1 Web 10.2 Integrated Login Kerberos setup

If you scroll up a little in your log file, there you can check the Kerberos authentication steps, which need to happen first. This usually gives a bit more information. Here is what I see for a successful login: [JGSS_DBG_CRED] http-9510-8 No Kerberos creds in cache for principal userid@MYSUBDOMAIN...

I saw the stack overflow issue with the release of 10.2.2 FP2 and it was fixed with 10.2.2 FP2 IF4 (tm1s.exe 10.2.20204.62, a couple of files have a build 67).
I have received the fix after Feb 13th, the fix list contains about 35 APARs. You need to contact support to get access.

I see that you reference "!Dimension 5" in the rule of cube 1, but this dim exists in cube 2 only. This will not work.

Re: TM1 Web 10.2 Integrated Login Kerberos setup

Assuming you have used the default install of TM1, there should be a log available under "C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\logs\pmpsvc-stdout.2015-03-11.log" which usually tells you more about the reason, why your Kerberos handshake fails. Have you tried to use your fully qualified ID on...

Re: Small CubeView Failing

Have you tried to put your elements of the large dims in a subset to build the view? From time to time that solved similar issues for me in the past. My latest observation of this kind of behaviour is, a 50.000 elements picklist based on a dim is unusable in Perspectives (Web is fine due to default ...

I know, that the following line compiles in TI at least in later 10.2 versions, though I haven't really used it.
Maybe you need to play a little with it to see if/how it works.

Re: Can not connet TM1 Web to Admin Host

In case you have admin access to the server box, did you try using the IE on the server (assuming you run it under Win)? You may stop the Windows Firewall service on the box for a few seconds to see if that enables your access. The 2 default ports 5xxx being blocked would cause Perspectives to fail ...

There was a file (released on Mar 19, 2007) available at support "INTERNAL_TM1_Server_Logging_Methodology_and_Reference.pdf", which had listed the TM1 logger items for 9.1 FP1 and later. I haven't seen any newer document so far.

Have you checked the tremendous fix list of later fix packs and interim fixes after FP1 was released? In the past I even had APAR's solved with a fix, but never mentioned in the list of fixed items. So maybe worth to start with the latest release before you go and open another service request. http:...
