Re: Architect - 2 different servers, same name of tm1 instances
Hi, Architect will pick up the instance from the first named admin server and use that if two servers have the same name, so A and B will be from the dev server, C from the prod server, and then D from the dev server again. I don't believe you can do what you're trying to do, as this would result in...

Hi Robert,
I don't believe Vizier is on sale any more, but the company that sold it, and have other products (like Pulse) that might be helpful is Cubewise

Re: How to connect TM1 Perspective from client to the Server
OK, so the normal way to do this is to install TM1 Perspectives as an add-in on each client (user) PC, which is then loaded in Excel, rather than access the add-in from a server. Is there a particular reason you want to load the add-in from the server?

Re: TM1 Instances Crash
Also, is there a pagefile set up on the server? If so, it may well report this as part of the 1TB RAM, and I've seen servers crash when memory usage gets so high as to start paging.

OK, although I liked getting the full email notifications with content rather than having to go to the forum to view the topic (unless I wanted to view the whole thread on the forum or reply or somesuch). So for example: You are receiving this notification because you are watching the forum "Co...

Prism?
I see from some comments that something called Project Prism was discussed at the recent Vision conference, advertised as "the next generation user interface (UI) for web-based analysis." Is anyone able to share what's known about this, or are you all NDAed up?

TM1 Tools does this, see http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2515. The code is open so you can amend it if you want or need to.

Full stop in cube name breaks perspectives?
I've just come across an issue in Perspectives where Pick and Edit Formula from the TM1 menu break if you include a . in a cube name. So, SERVER: CUBE.DESCRIPTION will truncate to SERVER:CUBE, which is obviously not ideal. Running 10.2.2 FP2 on Excel 2010 with up to date Perspectives. Is this old ne...

Re: TM1 ribbon performance in 9.5.2
Just to resurrect this - I'm having the same ribbon descriptions disappearing issues running 10.2 on Excel 2010 as a published app on Citrix 6.5. Apart from the obvious of disabling the ribbon, is anyone else having this issue and/or have a fix?

Re: Disable Server shutdown in Server Manager
Only users in the Admin security group should be able to use the Server Manager option - it will be greyed out for everyone else. Presumably if you trust your admins enough to give them admin rights, then you trust them enough not to shut down the server manually?

Default user directory - Applications
TM1 appears to default to using the temp or tmp environment setting from Windows to save a file when first opened from an Applications folder (with the random name). Does anyone know of a way within TM1 of changing this setting? My problem is that we have a new Citrix set-up and the IT people respon...
