RuleLoadFromFile & Chores

RuleLoadFromFile is causing me some headaches with inconsistant results when used within a chore compared to run in the TI on its own. While the TI blanks out my rules file correctly, the same TI when run as part of a chore doesn't so a later part of the chore fails. My current solution is to run th...

Re: Shocking news for TM1 Administrators!

it all looks excellent but due to the nature of the work here there is no way we can implement it  i can't even send a TM1 server crash log to IBM due to security restrictions...

Re: Complimentary TM1 Application & Server Monitoring Servic

What's the deal if we want to install this at a client site? What about un-hosted installs in situations where we can't expose the server to the open internet? Indeed this is exactly the sort of stuff we have been looking at, but not nearly as slick. We can not expose our servers to the internet du...

Re: PMR68125 999 866: TM1 952 TI CubeView Incorrect Order

Indeed it would. Forgot to check which version you are on, if this isn't working in 10.1.1 then i suggest you raise it with IBM as an urgent issue. My problem was a specific version of 9.5.2 and was hotfixed a while ago. I just can't upgrade our clients here to take advantage of the fix.

Re: PMR68125 999 866: TM1 952 TI CubeView Incorrect Order

No, your code is just the same as mine & i use it in most of my processes now. Tabdim always returns the correct dimension for the order, it was only the TI datasource preview that was jumbling it up. It suggests there is a different problem somewhere...

Re: Creating subsets on }Cubes & }Dimensions

I'm using 9.5 and have *almost* the same issue with them. The service doesn't pick the subsets up on a restart, but the .sub objects are still showing in the file structure on the server itself. Like others i had to resort to creating what i needed on the fly...

Re: Another TM1 TOP

IT is exceptionally strictly controlled here, so it doesn't surprise me. Will have a go when at home and if necessary i can up the attachment limit on the forum. Email wouldn't help either as it'd get blocked that way too, but thanks for the offer ;)

Re: Another TM1 TOP

From the short URL i have no idea where it is going. The google one won't load either, my guess is they are both on my companies blacklist of sites. Certainly google docs will be, i'm just not getting any meaningful error messages from IE (paint me surprised) so i can't be sure. Any chance you can a...

Are you talking about the windows PATH variables? can't do that here, our environment is tightly locked down & you'll find a lot of companies run in a similar fashion....

Re: Another TM1 TOP

Superb, thank you. I can confirm i had 4 services listed, i just altered the flag of one to "<AutoConnect>false</AutoConnect>" and it's loaded just fine. It also autoloaded the service i flagged as false, which may point you to where the bug is :)

Re: Another TM1 TOP

I'm having an issue where the program crashes on start up. I suspect it's a bug related to the number of services i asked it to load on start up (4, i think) but i don't know where its storing the start up config. Is there any way to edit that manually to get the program working again?

TI: Cube View Cached or Re-evaluated?

I'm in the process of testing this but would be interesting to see what others think too. If a TI uses a cube view as it's data source, for each line of metadata/data it processes its code for, does it re-evaluate the view it is based on? I am looking to improve a section of code but my current idea...

Re: TM1 Tools Issues And Discussions (Was *KEY_ERR Tracer)

Sort of related to the add-in but i'm guessing more a general issue with the way Office 2010 behaves. I need the TM1ElIsAnc function in a host of reporting but can't rely on or desire to have all the users have the add-in loaded. My solution was to copy the required code in to each report, but it se...

Re: TM1 10.1.1

I'm just finding more and more reasons to not want to work with TM1. They are still in this weird world where they think people will buy their software no matter the cost. If it was utterly exceptional i might, but the more this meanders to web (which is still too slow and restrictive when compared ...

ending support for the rules editor, but no mention of its replacement. if we are going back to the basic editor only thats the clearest indication yet about how little they now care about the core product.

Re: SAN for TM1 Data Directory.

We have used SAN for a few years and it works just fine. Performance is entirely dependant upon your IT infrastructure, as long as it is setup correctly you will not notice a difference. Suggest you speak to your IT suppliers though, as they are the only people that will be able to advise you in any...
