Re: Execute Multiple TI processes with TM1RUNTI utility
What I meant was that you can specify multiple TI processes in a config file by that's just the settings for that TI so you don't have to put them on the command line. You use the same config file for each command line execution but each command line can only call a single TI at a time. My last pos...

Re: Execute Multiple TI processes with TM1RUNTI utility
To my knowledge you don't call multiple processes using a single a config file nor can you call multiple processes on any single command line execution. To execute multiple TIs you have to call tm1runti once for each process you want to execute.

Re: IBM TM1 10.2 Web IIS Virtual Directory missing
That link you have is still good. There wasn't a KB that described how more so just that you could run both versions. Its really as simple as pointing TM1 Web 10.1.1 at an admin host that has a 10.2 server.

Re: BI Reporting from TM1 data source - Licensing?
The basics are this. If you are accessing a TM1 Server through a TM1 Interface (Perspectives, Architect, Cognos Insight (Dont need a TM1 License if used standalone), TM1Web, TM1 Applications, Any Custom UI you may have built to leverage the TM1 API) then you need a TM1 license for that user. If you ...

Re: Cognos forms to configure data
Depends on your version of BI and TM1 and how complicated you want to make it. 1. Easiest route, install iWidgets for BI so you can bring up a TM1 websheet inside the Cognos Portal. In your websheet using action buttons and parameters you could allow end users to modify a dimension. 2. More complica...

Re: Unable to execute SQL Query using TI process.
Concatenate using the char() function in TM1. Also, I dont think you need the expand function here. The variables should resolve unless there is some reason you are dynamically naming the variables. Char(39) is for a single quote Something along the lines of Query = 'Insert INTO Table1(SNO,ENAME,Sta...

Re: TM1 creating a drill through to a cube on another server
Drilling to cube views produces a different result than when drilling to ODBO, ODBC, Flat File, etc. Cube Views will drill to the Cube Viewer, while the other sources just show up as an ugly version of notepad data on the web. If you are ok with the ugly view then a long work around could be to call...

TM1 View Caching and Settings
I have a fairly large cube that Im testing in TM1, more of a reporting cube. What Im noticing is that if I switch from say a single month to the total year as a title elment it might take 8 seconds to respond. Then if I go through the same steps, back to the month and then back to the year it still ...

Re: The same subnm linked on multiple sheets
While I believe that will work, I believe that each subnm on each page won't be able to always show the latest selection? Am I following what you are thinking? The subnm just writesback to a cube? Wouldn't you have multiple sheets that would writeback to the same data?

Re: The same subnm linked on multiple sheets
Slightly clunky - but it is possible to have a stand-alone SUBNM (i.e. with nice UI as opposed to picklist) and then have the result of the user selection DBS'd back into the selection cube (potentially to an intersection without a picklist definition). Then, you could re-use that selection on othe...

Re: The same subnm linked on multiple sheets
That's a good solution for Excel! :), unfortunately I would like this on the web :( My thought at this point is to create some kind of picklist cube that contains the client dimension and then to have the selection stored there. I realize the picklist idea drops some functionality with the subset ed...

The same subnm linked on multiple sheets
Im sure someone has answered this but I couldn't find a thread so... Is there a way to have subnm's linked between sheets? IE I make a change the subnm on sheet 2 and then move to sheet 1 and the subnm on sheet 1 shows the change? The goal being to allow for different selections on any page to persi...

Re: "DBS" replacement in CAFÉ
There are no formulas for CAFE like perspectives. (You can use excel formulas inside of the views to send data back.) Possibly that method would work for you? Also the views don't commit data back unless you click on a commit button. Therefore you can use excel in auto calc and not have the delay yo...

Re: Load data from sap to tm1 10.2 version
Im not sure how the licensing works but a few years ago Cognos purchased the software from a Company called "Composite" that did have a certified SAP ECC/R3 connector. Currently if you own BI I believe you also get whats called Virtual View Manager. The basic concept is that VVM can connec...

Re: XDI Files not updating TM1
Not sure if this was stated or not but we had an issue where XDIs did not appear to update. The reason was that there was a duplicate name/alias in the XDI and what we found is that saving the XDI would produce no error but also wouldn't update. If you check the error log after hitting update XDI yo...

Re: Issue with Integrated Security Mode
I believe that this is normal. It doesn't actually check mark the groups but it knows who is part of what. Have you setup group security to an object and checked to see if its working even though you don't see check marks?
