Re: Strange mdx filter behaviour
cheers Steve. Not sure if this deals with the issue I mentioned, where in order to filter the data as required I have to add in the AND statement but then again my issue isn't the one being dealt with! I think it might be related in some way though. I also use TI to create subsets, the mdx and other...

Re: Strange mdx filter behaviour
Yeah, I understood the problem.
As I said my workaround is to plug in an AND statement to specifically exclude zeroes, but it does make you lose a bit of confidence in the mdx.

Re: Strange mdx filter behaviour
Hi, I feel like I have seen similar behaviour before when looking up cube values, and my usual workaround is to add an AND statement into the mdx to specifically exclude 0 values, so for example, your mdx would become: {FILTER ( {TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( {TM1SUBSETALL( [Division] ) }, 0) }, [08.01.00._Logi...

Re: Dynamic Subset isn't working at Title
Hi, As Ellessar has said twice already, what you are trying to do will NOT work if both dimensions are dragged outside the cube view . I posted about this issue here, please read the whole thread: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/businessanalytics/communities/community-home/digestviewer/view...

Re: Dimension elements wrongly displayed for multiple TM1RPTROW in Active form
Hi, Two questions: Is the incorrect order being shown in the image the order of the dimensions in the cube? When you open the active form in TM1Web is the order correct? If the answer to the above 2 questions is Yes this is the bug I think Wim was referring to. My understanding is that this had been...

Re: TM1 MDX did not work in TI
Hi lotsaram, good point about the .Properties, I think that this is the only notation that will be acceptable in the next gen version of planning analytics, so mdx something like this: {FILTER({TM1FILTERBYLEVEL( TM1SubsetToSet([Employee], "Dyna_Existing"),0)}, INSTR([Employee].currentmembe...

Re: Feeder took 20 min to save. Can we reduce it?
Hi Wim,
regards,
Mark
Rates in my experience are pretty static, but maybe I need to get out more!Because the percentages, at whatever level in the dimensions, need to be calculated in real time ?

Mark

Re: TM1 MDX did not work in TI
Hi, If the advise above does not work: I wonder if you are running into the same issue I had here: https://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=15087 This is an issue with FilterByPattern picking up an alias, which I presume is what Hargrove,Chr is? This was an issue with PAX, so never tested with a TI....

Re: Feeder took 20 min to save. Can we reduce it?
Hi,
I am struggling to see how a TI process wouldn't be more logical than a unfed rule in the case of rates?

Mark

I even asked IBM about this, re this forum discussion:

It is even undocumented to them!
Good work for joining the dots

Hi George,
The Member_Weight does work, how long has that been around?
I obviously need to pay more attention

Mark

Re: Distinguish String elements in an MDX
Talk about dogged persistence, an example to us all! I was then wondering if Element_Weight would return anything but doesn't! I did get Element_Index to work, so for example, Filter( TM1SubsetAll( [Revenue_Msr] ), [Revenue_Msr].CurrentMember.Properties("ELEMENT_INDEX")>"2") rega...

Re: Cube View Created by TI with Automatic Recalculation On
Hi, I don’t think you can set this in a TI or the API, which is a bit of an oversight (unless I missed something). If you look in the actual .vue file then you should see the line 376,0. This, I think, indicates that the auto reclac is off. To switch it on change to 376,1. So maybe some sort of powe...

Re: Ascendants vs Parent/Ancestor/Ancestors
Hi Keith, The last one can be knitted together as follows: {HIERARCHIZE(GENERATE(FILTER({TM1SUBSETALL ( [Year historic data] ) }, ([Year historic data].[Period Number])> 84),{Ancestors([Year historic data].CurrentMember,1),Ancestors([Year historic data].CurrentMember,0)}))} You need the Ancestors in...

Re: Belgium - Italy
Spain are like a very very very attractive but impotent man. I think if England do reach the final I would prefer Italy, I think we can beat Italy but if we had played Spain we would probably have won but looked very much second best! "Good friend of mine here is English and we, good naturedly,...
