Re: TM1 Converting to Static Excel Perspectives Report

Hello,
You can do this by:-
  • Select all cell in the Excel sheet
  • Copy all cells (Ctl-C)
  • Paste Special, Just the values
  • Paste Special, all formatting
You could record and tweak a macro to do this for you.

Re: Alias not unique (TI)

Hello, Are you trying to change the value of the alias? If so then you may be being caught out by an alias that is still in use by another element. Consider the following simple dimension:- Element - Alias Year1 - 2012 Year2 - 2013 If I wanted to increment one year forward then you might try this in...

Re: Hyperlink TM1 Web format

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the tip. You can get around this limitation with some Excel functions by concatenating strings but this does not work for the Hyperlink function.

Re: Hyperlink TM1 Web format

I agree, picklists probably are the way to go instead of the subnm, but I don't see how would you tell the target application that "item Code A" was selected if the user clicked on a £100 hyperlink. We have done similar using an action button linking title elements but would love to know h...

Re: Hyperlink TM1 Web format

Hi Declan,
That sounds really clever. So in my simple example below, you would have a hidden dbsa that sends back the value of the company subnm, but if the user clicked on the £100 hyperlink how do you tell the recieving sheet that the user selected Item Code a?

Hello,
Are you saving xls files or xlsx. If the latter then, if I remeber correctly, they are not displayed when you browse the list but you can type in the address/name.

Hello,

Can the user actually save the changes? in my 9.5.2 world a test user with no privelidges can open the rules editor and make changes but cannot save (or delete) them.

Hello,
Is the "the other user having the same access" in all of the same groups?

I have had issues (exactly what I cant remember) with particular user accounts which seem to be cleared by deleting the account and re-creating.

Re: Loading data into TM1 using element Attributes

Hello Jodha,
Based on the information you have provided, the approach that declan has suggested would seem to me be the best approach. Is there some reason, that perhaps is not described in your original post, that means you are looking for an alternative method?

Ah yes I see.
Even having a chore with an about to start and about to finish task at each end wont help because as you say the chore in that case is the transaction wrapper.

Re: More visibility into TI processes

Will the users be able to refresh the websheet whilst processes are running ?
I see no reason why users who did not start the process would be able to. The user who did start the process may also be able to view from another tab or browser window.

Re: More visibility into TI processes

Hello,
One way you could achieve this is to have a simple cube which you update as your TI processes start, progress and end. You could have a TM1 web sheet pointed at this cube to enable users to see a snapshot of what processes are running and they are progressing.

I agree with tomok. A well thought out Excel sheet will give you the best user experience and provide the opportunity to interact further with that data should people wish to perform further investigation of the high level results presented.

Re: Turbo Integrator snapshot to Excel

Hello, I was thinking about this from your earlier post:- Therefore a snapshot takes ALOT less time to generate on demand I assume you mean generating a snapshot to Excel from a cube view. I may be completely wrong here but I would have thought that the work involved for TM1 in the initial generatio...

Hello,
I note that your profile info says you are using v.9.4. I dont think that is compatible with IE9 let alone 10. We are on 9.5.2 and have issues where people have IE9.
