Re: check for an empty view

no such command, but be careful using the top level consolidations of all dims to do that. If you use a weighting other than 1 on any elements it could give you a false report... well, I have hard coded there the top level element for some dimensions and some elements passed as parameters for other...

Re: check for an empty view

Some lateral thinking ... You could assign the view as a data source to a generic process that has skip blanks ON but skip calcs and rules OFF (make sure the process has sufficient variables to accommodate all cubes in the model). On the prolog initialise a counter with a value of zero. On the data...

check for an empty view

Hi guys,

I had a brief look in the reference guide and in the forum but I found nothing about it.

Is there a command to check if a view is empty?

fast question about MDX

hi,

is it possible to create an MDX passing a variable containing the dimension name instead of a dimension name?

I mean:

SubSetCreateByMDX(vSub,'{TM1FILTERBYLEVEL({TM1SUBSETALL([Variable] )},0)}');
instead of
SubSetCreateByMDX(vSub,'{TM1FILTERBYLEVEL({TM1SUBSETALL([DimensionName] )},0)}');

Re: unknown error -191

if the value <> 0 then cellputproportionalspread else "execute an equal spread". Why not just do as you've suggested? If the value is <> 0 then use the cellputproportionalspread, if not, your else conditon would include the steps to put an equal value in each child. Query for the number o...

unknown error -191

Hi, i searched the forum and I saw that there is already a topic about it, but it is not exactly the same situation. The fact is that spreading a value on a member that is a parent and it was 0 previously issue this error. Apparently it is because there is no mix under the parent to spread a value p...

spread via excel

Hi, I have another issue. I want to put a spread function in an excel worksheet. I cannot use the the spread menu of the TM1 form because the dimensions on which I want to spread are in point of view and not only in row or column. I found that there is a TI function called CELLPUTPROPORTIONALSPREAD ...

Re: excel and subsets

Hi Stingo, I think your problem is a simple one. Provided the text in cell "E14" is indeed a valid public subset in the APS_Product_GM dimension then all that you need to do is REBUILD rather than RECALCULATE the worksheet. (Alt+F9 rather than Shift+F9) If that's not it then I as well as ...

Re: excel and subsets

What I want is to keep the TM1RPTROW as it is but to put parametric the name of the subset. Just replace the "Cheese" in your TM1RPTROW formula with a cell reference to where "Cheese" has been chosen through a drop-down created via data validation in Excel. ok, this is what was ...

hi,

you can create a subset for the month dimension containing just the month indicated by the variable and create the zeroout view based on that subset.
