Re: explorer downloading websheets instead of opening
TM1 Web is a different product in 10.2+ You need to convert the sheets to correct format; either by right clicking in perspectives and using the automated conversion or rebuilding them yourself. You would benefit from browsing the FAQ for web 10.2 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27...

explorer downloading websheets instead of opening
Hi, I am playing with the 10.2 and the new TM1 web. My PC runs explorer 10. I am trying to open a working system I have and I know that works on 10.1 (on the same explorer). What happens is that the 10.2 tries to download the websheets while the 10.1 instead opens them correctly. The 2 installations...

Re: MDX and Active form
Why should anyone help you if you can't be bothered to provide a simple request for more information? It's highly likely that your problem is in the construction of the cell(s) in Excel where you've constructed the TM1RPTROW formula. The fact that an MDX statement works in the subset editor doesn't...

Re: MDX and Active form
It would be helpful if you also provide a text and/or screenshot of your formula in Excel where you are parsing the MDX expression. When doing this myself I always find it handy for debugging to copy from the excel formula and paste as text into the expression window of the subset editor to make su...

MDX and Active form
Hi, I am trying to populate an active form with a MDX on the tm1rptrow. the mdx works on 2 attributes and it works on the expression window of the subset editor but in my form it gives me an empty set. The mdx is this: {FILTER(Descendants({[DIMENSION].[PARENT]}),(([DIMENSION].[ATTR1] ="Yes"...

Re: tm1web issue with excel formulas
Not that it directly helps with why your websheet is being flakey but one option you have is to test for the presence of elem1 and elem2 in their appropriate dimensions before you go ahead and add the new element. E.g. nCheck1 = DIMIX ( 'dim1', elem1 ); nCheck2 = DIMIX ( 'dim2', elem2 ); IF ( nChec...

tm1web issue with excel formulas
Hi, I checked the forum, but honestly I have not even idea on what/how to search this, so apologize if something similar has been posted already. I have an implementation TM1 10.1 and I have this problem: I have a button that is creating an element based on 2 subnms and a name i.e. I select elem1 fr...

Re: tm1 web not working for some users
How did you move the application? Did you compile the active forms / websheets with the new server name? When it comes to anything based in Excel it isn't as easy as just moving them. I found the bug and actually it is related to this also if it is not this. The problem is that the forms were autom...

tm1 web not working for some users
Hi, I am pretty new on tm1web, I have this issue. I'm running a server in 10.1 I have a preexisting tm1web installation running. I created a server in my dev environment, and everything works fine both back end and front end. I moved the application to test server (different tm1web installation) and...

Re: simple question on the Subnm
There is an easy workaround - to create a "default" element in the dimension and grant read access to it to everyone. This could be something like "001 - Choose Element" and it would be a dummy element, not meant for actual data input/reporting. this was the initial Idea, but th...

simple question on the Subnm
Hi all, when I create a data entry form I usually use drop down linked to subnm lists in order to let the user to choose elements in page for a particular view. The client, instead, wants to have directly the subnm choice. The fact is that when you save an application in TM1, you have a "defaul...

Re: rules on securities
hi all, just to put a little clear things. the feeders are there just for a try (it had not worked without so I figured it out what was happening with that). I refreshed more than once. The initial rule was in just one line so it was something like if no admin then write else admin and still was not...

rules on securities
Hi All, I have a doubt. I'm trying to create a rule on securities to close the years that are not useful in term of budgeting. I put this rules on security cube for the year dimension: SKIPCHECK; FEEDSTRINGS; [] = S: IF((!}Groups @<>'ADMIN' % !}Groups @<>'DataAdmin' % !}Groups @<> 'SecurityAdmin'),S...

Re: strange excel behaviour
As far as I'm aware this is normal behaviour for active forms and it more or less makes sense. When an active form is refreshed TM1 doesn't know in advance how many rows will be in the form post refresh. During the refresh all rows in the data range except the first are deleted then re-inserted. TM...

strange excel behaviour
Hi all, I have this strange behaviour when opening Data entry forms in TM1. For some of the excel forms in my environment, after the recalculation (via TM1 Button) the excel puts as active the first cell after the "view" zone of the DEF. This is an issue for the big sized forms because the...

Re: macro to perform a 'page dbrw'
There are a number of ways to achieve that, the simplest one not even requiring a macro, just a flag cell and DBS formulas (maybe somewhere in a hidden area. Like that: =IF(FlagCell=1,DBS(...),0). The user would submit data by changing the flag value (manually, using a button, from a dropdown etc) ...

macro to perform a 'page dbrw'
hi, the question is this, I want to build a wxcel form without DBRW formulas, and create a macro associated to a button doing something like: send all data in the range between cell A10 to C20. Practically I want it to do a serie of DBRWs on all the cells contained in a table (if you know BPC is lik...

Re: check for an empty view
well, actually I made it with another workaround, I checked, with a CellGetN, if the value at the Top of all the dimensions is 0 or not. I was just wondering if there was a command to do this thing in order to use it. That's not quite the same as testing generically whether a view contains data (in...
