Re: Capture Contributor Usage
As far as the TM1 server is concerned, Contributor is really nothing more than a series of special cubes and processes that all begin with }tp*. To that extent I don't believe there is going to be any logging that you can capture tm1s-log.properties file specific to Contributor versus any other use ...

Re: Pipe as a list separator and TM1RPTROW formula
What IBM have now said on this topic: After performing series of test this issue turned out to be a defect. I've created APAR under below name: PH34953 PIPE AS A LIST SEPARATOR MAKES IN EXCEL TM1RPTROW FORMULA CAUSE ERROR Now we're waiting for IBM Software Team update. Thanks for collaboration. Bet...

Re: Zero Supression and C-level Rule 0 value
I'm not sure what you are expecting here. The highlighted cell is not going to suppress from a column perspective because there are values for other rows in the same column and it's not going to suppress from a row perspective because there are values for other columns in the same row. That's how ze...

Re: copying element security data from one element to another
I would use a view on the }ElementSecurity_YourDimName as the source. Just create a subset on the Distributors dimension that excludes the "new" distributors so you are only retrieving values for the "old" ones. If the "new" distributor name cannot be deduced from the &...

Re: Matching unnamed subset with named subset
I have a total of 100 cubes and 450 cube views in total, Many cube views are using some Unnamed subset, and those elements under Unnamed subsets is similar to other elements under the Named subset. Therefore, I wonder is there anyways to automatically let the cube view use that Named subset that ha...

Re: REST API - Pull data for data warehouse
I don't know what your volume of data is going to be but if it is anything more than a few thousand records or so this is definitely NOT the way to go. While the new REST API is great for standardized data access from the TM1 engine, there is a tremendous amount of overhead in it. If you are talking...

Re: New security groups in TM1 on cloud
We are cloud customers but we have all local groups that we copied over from our on-premise server. At the time we migrated (Sep 2019), you could not link up your AD groups with PA on the cloud so we stayed with local groups. When we want to create a new group we have a TI process that creates a loc...

Re: Tm1web string data entry autofill
Thank you all, yes, the requirement was that I wanted to be able to enter a new item in a picklist if mine was not already there. the city was an example. If it is a traditional TM1 picklist then I don't see why you can't have a cell on the form/report where you can enter the new picklist value and...

Re: Disable Change of Rules
IMO, this is the answer. We do this for a select group of users that we don't want to make admins but they are responsible for creating reports and views for others in their departments. Works fine.

Re: TM1 Function Like TM1RPTROW to create Dynamic Columns
Be careful with volatile functions like OFFSET in PAfE - they, as the name suggests, recalculate whenever a recalc happens. INDEX may be better but OFFSET killed my reports completely, Interesting. The OFFSET index# shouldn't change unless the active form is rebuilt so a simple recalc should not ma...

Custom PAW Menus
We have been on the IBM Cloud for a while but are just now working on a project to migrate everything from TM1Web to the PAW interface. What I am wondering is if anyone has any tricks or ideas for a menu system in PAW. We currently have a lot of menus and navigation stuff built using Action Buttons ...

Re: TM1 Function Like TM1RPTROW to create Dynamic Columns
While not a perfect match, and not as dynamic. You could use the INDEX() formula combined with ELIST in excel to create the appearance of dynamic columns. But you would have to prepare your columns. So you would have 20 columns ready but if the subset is short only 10 would show data, the rest woul...

Re: TM1 Architect – Custom rollup members Division/Multiplication
You cannot do anything other than multiplication and it cannot be against another member, only a plain numerical value. Something like 1, 2, 5, .5, .001, etc. What you are asking for can only be done in rules.

Putting 1 as the index means insert it into the first position in the subset. All the other members will be moved down a spot.

Re: Failed TM1RPTROW to Load in TM1 Web: Having two TM1RPTROWS
Do you Have any idea what else should I change to make it work ? I don't know the answer to your question but it's important to understand that while IBM tries to make active forms work the same way in Perspectives (aka an Excel sheet) as it does in TM1Web there are numerous instances where it does...

Re: Dimension Element Security - Most restrictive
For the same dimension element if a user is a member of two groups, one that gives read access and one that gives write access then the user ends up with write access. This is the way it has always been for as long as I have been using TM1. I actually had no idea the documentation said otherwise. N...

Re: MDX TM1RPTROW : Stop Drill Down in Only one Element
If you are talking about an active form report then you cannot make a consolidated element "not drillable". If the element is displayed as part of the TM1RPTRPW formula inside the AF and it is a parent node then it's going to have a plus sign next to it and it's going to be drillable. Thes...
