Re: Different rules for same element in different hierarchies
I don't think what you want to do is possible, the N level of a cube is common for all hierarchies. C levels are different, same named C level members in different hierarchies are distinct members. The moral of that story is don't try and answer questions at 6.30 in the morning. You are of c...

C level rule, if statements and elisanc. That's the way I'd go about it.

Re: Upgrade to Planning Analytics from TM1 10.1.1 Version
No we haven't increased RAM and also we haven't installed installed PAW or any of its resource sapping stuff. We have server & web installed on the same test box for now, so that may explain the performance up tick,
Jim.

Re: Upgrade to Planning Analytics from TM1 10.1.1 Version
I've just done an upgrade from 10.2.2 to PA 2.0.7 and had no issues. W were on 10.1.1 for a long time and the upgrade to 10.2.2 raised no issues. Keeping in mind not that much has changed on the server side you should be good. I would say that we've noticed huge increase in web sheet performance in ...

Re: PA 2.0.7 TM1 Web and BI 10.2.2
Interestingly I've managed to get it kind of working. Gtonkin I went through the link and added the pmhub file which was missing and set the parameters. It now does work as long as I don't use localhost on the machine itself. Also now when logging out I get the following error: PA Web Firewall Error...

PA 2.0.7 TM1 Web and BI 10.2.2
Guys, I know IBM say that this combo isn't supported but I've got to get it working before the end of Sept with the support for TM1 10.2.2 ending. So far I have been able to install TM1 server and clients. I've been able to connect to the current CAM server and I'm able to login through good old per...

How have you configured the security? Which mode 1-5? Are you using CAM? You need to give us much more details,
Jim.

PA as Data source for BI
Guys, According to this release from IBM: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21999196 PA is not supported as a data source for BI 10.2.x. Has anybody tried using PA as data source for Bi version 10.2? With support for TM1 10.2.2 coming to an end we're being forced (pretty much) to upgr...

Re: automation import users from active directory
Thank you guys all! Especially Paul SImon, you were right that CAMID is a derivative of the client’s property. And how it is all arranged, I will now tell for inquiring minds and for people whose life has faced this situation. So, we begin: The structure of CAMid is as follows: CAM (<NAMESPACEID>: ...

Re: websheet function equivalent to cellisupdatable
If it's done by rule then your stuffed, unless it is controlled by some kind of flag. If it's security based you can always pull in the control cube values and format the cells based on those values and then hides those rows / sheets,
Jim.

Re: automation import users from active directory
macsir, paulsimon there is one important detail, we avoid associating users with AD or BI groups; therefore, we use Integration Mode 5 so that we have the opportunity to bind CAm users to groups created in TM1! You have already spent more time posting on this board than it would have taken you to m...

Are you using the same user in the ODBC as you are when running the query yourself? Sounds like security rights for the ODBC user to me.

Re: IBM License Metric Tool?
Mac, I've literally just done it. The best thing for me was the series of videos on you tube. It's on the IBM channel. Find the play list and follow them. Some bits have moved away from the videos but what you need to do instead is covered in the video comments, Jim. PS. I would include the link but...

Sorry I meant the epilogue. In my defense it was first thing in the morning and there wasn't even a sniff of caffeine yet!! So yes close the ODBC in the epilogue.

In the same process do you have ODBCClose in the prologue?

Daft question but do you have a default subset set for the dimension? Does it include the alias?

Re: ODBO Process
Oh and btw, Tomok was right. If you've selected a cube as the source then it will be using a view as the source. Based on what I can tell from your screen shots this is the case. I can't see the full generated MDX query. It might help if you post that here.

Re: ODBO Process
Jorge, I've only done a bit with ODBO but in my experience the GUI is flakey at best. Once I generated the required MDX I straight away set the input to no action, set the dimensions to data load only and set the override data source in the prologue. Also make sure you stop the generated code from w...
