Re: Create a drillable consolidator with only leaf level children

I'm trying to create a dynamic subset that shows a collapsed consolidated node that when expanded, only shows the leaf level children (not any consolidated children). Does anyone have any hints? You could achieve this with separate subsets (e.g. a "summary" subset and a "drilled" subset) but it isn...

I have a subset that refreshes nightly .

Is there a way i can refer that subset in a dbrw to retrieve cube value .

Thanks,
Is this even a serious question?
What is stopping you doing this?
Have you tried it?

Re: Direct edit dimension collection has not been cleared before commit

By way of update support opened a collab with development on this error and it seems that IBM development believe the error message is caused by an empty subset or UDC at the time the dimension is updated. Thus can be filed into the category of "not really an error".

Re: Active Forms using multiple cubes

Could you give me an idea of what the MDX statement would look like and where I would need to utilize it? You are unlikely to get a meaningful response which is specific enough to help you until you do your bit and provide enough information to make such a response possible. Look at the RFA for a g...

Re: Elements of dimension on perspectives

Hi all, I would like to list all elements of the dimension of control }Cubes of my model on perspecitves. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried the DBRW, but this case it is different because is not the cube. Thanks in advance, JR All you need for this is the Excel TM1 function DIMNM. Combined w...

Re: Message on TM1 Web

If you make a TI that returns an error when it finds that the active user does not have access, then you can set you message in the error section of the button. Assuming they do have access, then the TI will not error and they continue as befoe to the form. Hope that makes sense. +1 This is a great...

Hi qml/Wim, thank you for your suggestion. we are using ViewExtractSkipRuleValuesSet( pCube, cTempViewFrom, 0 ); in prolog ,but still data is not copied to some of the cells in target version. attached my TI Process code. Regards, Rajesh Dayaneni This is a mash up of a bedrock copy process. Why not...

we are using these functions in Prolog ViewExtractSkipCalcsSet( pCube, cTempViewTo, 0 ); ViewExtractSkipRuleValuesSet( pCube, cTempViewTo, 0 ); ViewExtractSkipZeroesSet( pCube, cTempViewTo, 0 ); My oh my. And how many dimensions does the cube have? And how long does the process take?

Re: How to Create Ragged/Unbalanced Hierarchy in TM1 Architect

I went through the post and reached the documentation. Thank you for that. Are you saying the only way to create this type of hierarchy is to do it through code on the Advanced tab? In other words, TM1 Architect cannot naturally handle it by, for example, method of importing/loading data and throug...

Re: Creating Cube Generates "Cell type is string" error

Let's give Alan a break from replying to you or I fear he may blow a gasket. First let's go back to square 1. In TM1 all dimensions are equal. There is no special treatment for time or measure dimensions. In the cube properties you can assign a dimension as the measure dimension. But this is just fo...

As far as I am aware the web tier has never contributed to PVU.

(Except for the kinda restriction of Express licensing which is limited to single box install formerly of max 32 cores then changed to max 1600 PVU).

Re: TI Process Doubling Elements?

You might want to check the order of your parameters in your DIMIX. Lovey's not going to be too happy. 2nd that. Your DIMIX as written will return 0 100% of the time. You can't have an element in a single consolidation more than once, do you mean that the extant elements exist in their original loc...

Re: Rule

Check your syntax on this rule. The proper syntax when using DB to reference a cube is: DB('Name of Cube', Dim1, Dim2, Dim3....Dimx) Yes. Although it would be a pretty decent enhancement if you could use a blank string as the first argument in a DB() to mean "Me. The cube that I'm in" the same way ...

Re: Seeking idea for users management in multiple instances

You are talking about a business application designed to manage users and security across multiple TM1 instances. You can build your own application for this, and many larger TM1 shops certainly have. However if you want a OOTB solution to just drop in then commercial products typically have a price...

Re: Tm1 public subsets gets cleared

If subsets are "getting cleared" then it's because elements are being deleted and added back to the dimension. To avoid this unwind the dimension rather than deleting elements. There are plenty of topics you can find on unwinding dimensions.

Re: How to get an automatic cubeview refresh with TI Process

The CLIENT is independent of the SERVER. Client requests data, server responds and sends data, client renders data for viewing. And that is how it stays until the client makes another request. Any "automatic refresh" needs to be triggered from the client side. What you want is achievable in Excel (w...

Re: ASCIIOUTPUT to csv to show data in different columns

Well you are stuck my friend as TM1 only provides the local variables DatasourceASCIIDelimiter & DatasourceASCIIQuoteCharacter which apply to BOTH the text file being read AND the text file(s) being exported. You would think it would be sensible to have separate variables but fact is we don't. So t...

Re: ASCIIOUTPUT to csv to show data in different columns

Correct, either you use Expand like Lotsaram shows you, either you use the concatenation operator ( | ) to string the data together. Make sure that your numeric values are exported correctly too, if applicable. That's actually a hidden benefit of Expand ;) all variables are treated as string even t...
