Re: Disable Server shutdown in Server Manager

Only users in the Admin security group should be able to use the Server Manager option - it will be greyed out for everyone else. Presumably if you trust your admins enough to give them admin rights, then you trust them enough not to shut down the server manually?

Re: TM1 log in issue

I'm no google master, but "tm1 load on demand" gets me this. It's a clue.

Default user directory - Applications

TM1 appears to default to using the temp or tmp environment setting from Windows to save a file when first opened from an Applications folder (with the random name). Does anyone know of a way within TM1 of changing this setting? My problem is that we have a new Citrix set-up and the IT people respon...

Re: RDS deployed as a published app

That looks like a Citrix Receiver client to me - if so, it should work fine in the main.

Re: TM1 & CAFE

You're right, your tech person is wrong. CAFE is an Excel add-in, as Perspectives is an Excel add-in (but obviously with different capabilities).

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

Matt, I have no experience with streaming apps. I can say that a published Excel app will work, but the roaming profile will be on the Citrix server and will include the tm1p.ini file in the usual place. As Tom says, it's a little puzzling that you're attempting to stream this - why the decision to ...

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

And I think that is the problem. There's a few people using Citrix Desktop, others using published apps (like me), but I've not come across anybody using it as a streaming app. Something in there isn't right, and I would suspect the roaming profile isn't correct, or something along those lines.

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

OK, one more thing to try: on the Citrix server (and not in the streaming app) can you run Excel and login to the server via Perspectives?

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

The Admin Host in Perspectives should be the same as the AdminHost in the tm1s.cfg. Perspectives uses the admin host to connect to servers and not the servers themselves. Perspectives doesn't need to look at the data directories directly to work, unless someone wants to modify .xdi or .xru files. Yo...

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

I don't really understand why you need a FQDN in the tm1s.cfg file? It might be helpful if you post it. From what you've said, I understand this: Server A has one or more TM1 services (servers) running, has a TM1 admin service running and is on Domain Y A TM1 client on Domain Y can see and log in to...

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

OK, well in that case I'm out of ideas. The only thing I can say is that I have tested a Citrix 6.5 Excel published app, across two (trusted) domains, and it works fine - so it is possible.

Re: Citrix and FQDN's

I'm not enough of a Citrix expert to comment on the profile wizard, but I would go ahead and create the app and test that before concluding it wasn't working.

Yes, what David said. I have TM1 working through Citrix 6.5 published app, and either machine name or ip address works fine.
