Re: Login History of users

I use the the alternate logging method to create a log file with logins. I then run a TI as a chore to process this file and write to a cube so that I can track frequency and last date of login.

Have a look at this thread for some guidelines

Re: Excel Subtotals at the top of Active Form

Tried it on PA 2.0.1 before posting-seems to work fine-had an Active form with levels and it summed as I collapsed and expanded-numbers obviously nonsense but functioned as expected.

Re: Excel Subtotals at the top of Active Form

Try this alternative then:

Code: Select all

=SUM(INDEX(TM1RPTDATARNG1,,COLUMN()))
Assuming the formula will be in the column it is summing, otherwise change accordingly.

Re: Excel Subtotals at the top of Active Form

You can try this:

Code: Select all

=SUM(OFFSET(TM1RPTDataRng1,0,3,ROWS(TM1RPTDataRng1),1))
Replace TM1RPTDataRng1 with the relevant range per your workbook. The range starts in column A, so an offset of 3 in my example reads from column D.

Re: IBM TM1 license details

License are firstly counted based on the users contained within the }Client dimension. Based on your post, if you create 28 users, you will need 28 licenses. Not sure if any of those users are Admin too, if not you would need and Admin license in addition to the users. It gets more complicated based...

Re: Feeder for cells with value based on rule

This would be a very rare case as generally the values being used in the calculation should be coming from an assumptions or driver cube which could then be used to feed the result. I worked on a cube recently which had values for a probability of default per client rating band-15 maturity buckets n...

Re: Running a new blank unsaved TI... it executes a different TI

My Perspectives forces a save first (PA2.0.1) Architect gives same error.
Can only recommend that you save your process then run - without saving, the objects are probably not registered opening up a slew of possible issues.

When you say refresh security do you literally mean SecurityRefresh or ElementSecurityPut?

I mean run a SecurityRefresh, as a test for now, to rule out that after adding a new element, there is not a permissions issue for non-admin users.

Re: Running a new blank unsaved TI... it executes a different TI

Are you running perspectives off your local machines or via a remote desktop/Citrix environment? Have seen some weird behaviour in a shared environment where users are not configured correctly and seem to share the same temporary folders and TM1 ini.

Re: Could not create dynamic subset

Have not tested this in 10.2.2FP4 as 3rd parameter is now for temporary object-will have to test if 4th works as third did previously.

Edit: thanks for the reminder TM123

Could not create dynamic subset

With 10.2.2 FP4 and above you can get around the error thrown by SubsetCreateByMDX when the MDX returns a blank result. SubsetCreateByMDX.PNG Traditionally you would code something like: sDim='Versions'; sSubsetName='CurrentVersion'; sMDX='{TM1FILTERBYPATTERN( {TM1SUBSETALL( [Versions] )}, "2018")}'...

Do you have element security on the Version dimension? If so, do you do a security refresh?

When you say " I create a brand new process, and immediately run this blank/empty process."

How are you running the process?
-Right click on process, run
-Clicking the Run icon within the process

Log file was corrupt and one or two other issues - }Groups attributes cube corrupt and another cube, both restored from earlier backup...

Re: Poll : Which version of Excel is used in your business

Also not a straight forward answer as many of my clients have a blend of either 2010/2013 or 2013/2016 - there are some 2007 still floating around. At this stage, only TM1 series out there so not too concerned, yet.

Re: Count in rules

The syntax you had previously was correct but you need to have the source you are feeding from on the left and the target on the right. For now just switch the measure names.

I do suggest further reading on feeders as you will not get far in TM1 without a thorough understanding of them.
