Re: TM1 If Statement Help

When comparing against a string literal, you need to use the @ symbol in front of your operator i.e.

Code: Select all

IF ( SCENARIO_SHORT @= 'Act@Act'); SCENARIO_SHORT = '1'; ElseIf(SCENARIO_SHORT @<> 'Act@Act'); SCENARIO_SHORT = '0'; ENDIF;

Re: How to fail a feeder....

Hi Steve, I am not going to answer your question but ask you one. Why would you not create a C level of all the items where the Attribute is not blank and use that on the left side - this way it would only feed from items in the list i.e. those with an attribute? Granted you would need a TI process ...

Re: Views that use a particular subset

Thanks AmbPin, I normally use old fashioned "Grep" but useful for some of my colleagues.
Would be nice if there was a command line version of "tail" as I use "tail -f" frequently to watch log files on start-up etc.

Re: DBRW vs DBR in Perpectives/Excel give different answers

Thanks Michel,

Both DBRW and DBR are referencing the VIEW formula as I simply copied column B to column C to keep everything the same other than DBRW vs DBR.
The Cube has NO rules at all, simply consolidations, all with a weighting of 1

Re: DBRW vs DBR in Perpectives/Excel give different answers

Thanks Brian-I am aware of the floating point issue and am fairly sure there will be issues in the model relating to this due to the large numbers in the model. However, I would expect the two functions to present the same results with the floating issue present in both. This is really what is irkin...

DBRW vs DBR in Perpectives/Excel give different answers

First off, apologies for the table and possibly confusing layout. The story is as follows: We produce some reconciliations from TM1 and SAP and need hash totals to balance. Users picked up and issue when doing checks that balances were out under certain circumstances. 1) If you F2 then enter again, ...

try check the filesize/version of your MSCOMCTL.OCX - I have had this issue with older versions. My current working version shows the following in the command prompt: 2014/05/22 10:55 AM 1,070,232 MSCOMCTL.OCX Unregister, replace with new and re-register. You may need to find an older version for TM...

Re: Renaming .cub$ files for restart

Hi Matt,

Your previous post had a reference to the cube as
\\apaustmp01\tm1\systemfiles\production\prod_data\Fin_GL.cub$$$
Are there two servers in the equation - the application and data?
Have you checked for locks, anti-virus exclusions etc. on both?

Re: TM1.Server sf_Delete and sf_Rename failed

If you have ruled out anti-virus completely, try using resource manager or Process Explorer from SysInternals to track down what process has the file locked. If it seems to be a momentary lock i.e. read-only when you save but you can delete manually later, I have found that IT rolls down some policy...

Re: Financial Consolidation - Controller samples

Thanks Alan-to be clear, I am asking for pointers to resources-should they be on IBM's site, I will use my partner id to access. At this stage my best bet seems to be signing up for the J1121G SPVC. I was however hoping that I overlooked something in the install or on one of the portals/knowledge ba...

Get TM1 Perspectives Version

This may be useful VBA code to some: Sub TM1PerspectivesVersion() Dim strVersion As String strVersion = Application.Run("buildnumber") Debug.Print strVersion End Sub strVersion should have the full build number - mine says 10.2.20100.11111 (TM1XL.DLL) - same as product version for TM1ULibDll.dll @Ad...

Re: Worksheet function for Principal Element Name?

Another way may be to use the internal ALL subset e.g. I have a month dimension with an alias of 1 for Jan, 2 for Feb etc. If I want to return Jan (Principal) then I can do:

Code: Select all

=SUBNM("server:month","ALL","1")

Re: Using Picklist in Control Cube

I may be missing something here but assuming you are on a recent version, why would you not just right-click the }ElementAttributes cube and Create Pick List Cube.
Once done you can create rules or populate and the results are bound as picklists to the relevant attributes.

Re: TM1 9.4 Breaking Change - Rule derived Aliases

Just a quick update on this one for those on 10.2.20000.50183 (not FP1) This issue has re-surface but appears to have been corrected in 10.2.2 FP1 (10.2.20100.123) I cannot find any mention of the fix in the Fix List but aftert the number of issues on 10.2.2 would encourage everyone to update to FP1...
