Re: NoWait command for TI processes
Agree this would be very handy and I would love to have such an option. I think the major difficulty in implementing it would be with running more than one action under the same thread ID. The TM1RunTI and Chores will have own threads. Probably running more than one TI within same login session woul...

Re: Bulk Load Mode - TM1 Web
What I have also found though is that users are not able to log onto other services ("service b") using the same web server. (...) Can anyone else confirm if this is "expected behavior" and documented perfectly well and I'm just to blind to see - or a known bug? I think this cou...

Re: 10.1 strange behavior of web connection to instances
I need to say I was not aware of it, thanks for posting, tm1_bloke . My Dev/Test/Prod servers are registered under different TM1 Admin Server boxes, so I had the same effects as in Perspectives. So I understand in maps case on tm1_c server there will be a different password for this user than on tm1...

I am definitely having longer breaks in visiting forum, but recently I manage to visit it 2 and more times weekly.
I have not so far experienced those errors.

Re: ExecuteProcess with too few parameters supplied
Bringing up a bit older thread but found no comment about a thing I think is crucial. I also think taking defaults in case parameter is not specifically called is a good practice. Of course you need to be aware changing defaults may cause a bit mess. But this becomes crucial if for any reason you de...

Re: 10.1 strange behavior of web connection to instances
Looks like a bug, especially if on 9.5.2 it worked correctly. I need to admit this #ERR! result is also surprising for me. I would expect empty string. Anyway I think my below suggestions maybe will help in investigation. I assume your TM1USER formulas are located in hidden rows and/or columns of th...

Re: Error creating new view......
Applying element security on a dimension results in creating }ElementSecurity control cube with this dimension and with the }Groups dimension . Applying cell security on a cube results in creating }CellSecurity control cube with all dimensions of that cube plus the }Groups dimension . In your case y...

Re: Subset Security with Planner/Contributor
Do you mean they will not be able to replace a subset by another or they will not be able to edit the subset ? I meant they will not be able to edit the subset and by edit I meant modifying and re-saving it as public subset with the same name. I need to admit I did not play around with Cognos Expre...

Re: Subset Security with Planner/Contributor
Not sure exactly about your case, but: I am trying to hide some subsets to users As tomok said, there is no security on subsets, but if you mean all users you could semi-hide them by creating those as Control Objects (name starts with } ). Most of End Users will always have display of Control Object...

Re: Worksheet Directory for multiple TM1 Servers
- To have dimensions which have the same name but differ between servers (eg test vs production)? Don't do it. I did that for a while (having the .xdis in multiple folders, obviously; you can't have them all in the same folder) but it ended up being way too easy to for the .xdis to write to the wro...

For me the best workaround is the one posted by Neeta in this thread.

Re: Testing for double countings in a dimension
Jarek nice work ;) I can see where this would be useful. Thanks, yes I guess you are guessing correctly :) Does anyone have a generic process for such a test (that same set of leaf elements is under distinct top nodes)? No generic code for now, but I think modifying this one with a small effort wou...

Re: Testing for double countings in a dimension
Duncan, Yes you are right, my code will not consider weigths. But that was one of Wim's assumptions and also for my business case it was not required to look at them differently as like they would all be just 1. Please note that for now: - I am aware of the fact that sometimes elements will appear t...

Re: TM1 process security
Wim, I would treat it as bugs. I just wanted to share that it seems like there was some bigger mess with setting security privileges in version 10.1.1 (HF5 in my case). What I experience, I cannot rely anymore on changing assignment of users to groups by doing manual inputs in }ClientGroups cube. I ...

Re: Testing for double countings in a dimension
Wim's post finally made me decide to try to write such TI as I also feel a need of having such generic checker. To be honest I did not analyze in details all posts from others in this thread, but I see all of them suggest creating some additional cubes and/or dimensions. It is possible to do it usin...

Re: Changes in xdi dimension worksheets
When your .xdi upload fails, are you able to make such dimension modification using Dimension Editor?
Maybe your dimension is just locked/reserved at the time when you want to perform your task (right-click on dimension and look what is available under Security item)?

Re: E2) Dimension file "dim name" not found or file error
Wim Gielis already mentioned .vue files and I understand you did not search among those, but I think this could be the direction to look based on your last description. Is it possible you have some .sub or .vue files that refer to this dimension? Maybe it is there for a particular user (so private s...

Re: How does TM1 calculate long formulas?
I mean will it spent time to calculate all parts of multiplication if one them is already know to be zero? When a man solve some equation he doesn't have to calculate it all if there is multiplication by zero. As a first thought it would be tempting to go this road. Once calculation algorithm finds...
