Re: CCC scheduled tasks failing on Cloud

Bit late to the party but we also had the same issue due to the certs for the CCA agents being updated causing CCC jobs to fail during that weekend. To the wider point, we've found the Cloud support generally pretty good and responsive all in all. Can't really blame them for the collapse on the 22nd...

Shared Sandboxing

This periodically raises its head and I've just had another use case come up again for shared sandboxes. Just went to raise a ticket but on checking before posting, saw that someone had already raised a ticket with a handful of votes. It's showing as "Future consideration" currently which ...

Re: Actionbutton with more than one line

Other option to render appropriately in TM1Web specifically is to do it in reverse and create a fully transparent Action button sized the same as the background image. Place this over the background image you want to use if you're dynamically changing the background icon or underlying text, etc. Use...

Re: ODBCOutput Insertion to HANA Performance

For reference for anyone who comes across this on a search in the future, the solution to this was Hana syntax for the batching as follows: INSERT INTO "dummyname"."dummyname" select NOW(),'blah','blah','blah','blah','blah','',-5.781 from dummy union select NOW(),'blah','blah','b...

ODBCOutput Insertion to HANA Performance

Running into an issue with awful performance pushing data from PA Cloud into HANA via Remote Gateway. Raised a ticket with IBM but reaching out to the hive mind also as suspect this is more to do with our HANA syntax knowledge. Overview of Process: Prolog: ODBCOpen Data: ODBCOutput using SQL Insert ...

Re: New monitor

Hi Wim, I use a 4k monitor pretty much exclusively for work and perspectives renders fine at 4k resolution. I use perspectives daily on a 32" 4k without issue so shouldn't be a concern. For ref, 27" is just about the minimum size I'd personally recommend if you're going 4k. I found smaller...

Re: Sandboxes in Dynamic Reports?

Thanks Wim, much appreciated. Was in a bit of a brain dump mode there so didn't articulate well but the core issue I've got with it when I say I can't fix is to re-enable the menu key functionality rather than the specific use case of the special value. That's probably the most common example along ...

Re: Sandboxes in Dynamic Reports?

The biggies are covered above by lotsa. On a lesser scale, the following are user QoL issues off the top of my head that I find very annoying. I'll caveat first to say two things: - 1) Perspectives is tired and lacking by modern standards. PAx is heading in the right direction and will eventually be...

Re: Sandboxes in Dynamic Reports?

I literally came across this last week when doing some budget what-if scenarios. To my knowledge, PAx doesn't have native support for sandboxing in the same way Perspectives did by having a dropdown switch although I'd love to be proven wrong if anyone knows otherwise. If you export a sandbox based ...

MDX - FilterByPattern on Attributes

Someone asked me today how to pull a wildcard search against an attribute in MDX. I must be getting rusty (I blame Tableau and PowerBI) as this turned out to be a bit more long winded than I thought and I ended up sticking at the following rather obtuse statement - in this case returning Employees w...

TM1 Perm UK Guildford / Sheffield Role

I'm looking for a permanent role to work in my team with a heavy focus on TM1 based here in the UK in either Guildford or Sheffield so PM me if you're interested and I can point you to the job ad. It's a senior developer role with an expectation to spec and technically lead projects so both the tech...

Re: String Data Underneath ruled cells 10.2.2 FP6

Have you tried setting RulesOverwriteCellsOnLoad in the config? Seen this kind of behaviour with string data before in earlier versions and brought up the server with this on to purge the underlying data which worked fine (can't remember which version - possibly as far back as 9.5.2). Remember to tu...

['3rd Quarter','Incentive']=C: The rule you have is calculating at a C (consolidated) level only so you will either need to feed the data beneath the consolidation in order for TM1 to recognise that the consolidation needs to be fed or make sure that there is data in one of the children. Re: Editing code... your preferred way?

Remembering to press CTRL-C twice to copy text! Yes, it still catches me out... I'm forever pasting 'something else' because Architect refuses to let me have it on the first time of asking. Can't remember who first raised this so apologies for the lack of credit but if you roll the C on a Ctrl+C it...

Re: Dynamic Chart Title

Annoyingly not in 10.2.2.2 - 10.2.2.4 - had dynamic lookups for Product Group names mapped from string cube hierarchy points and had to go with the low tech option of putting the title in an Excel cell fitted to the graph floating above the graph. Doesn't look great but did the job - dynamic name ch...

Re: .blb and .rux files - maintenance

The TM1 server exclusively uses the .RUX files as the definitive source of rule statements. Any .BLB files are artifacts created by the client application (in this case performance modeller). Typically they store things like additional formatting details, etc... It is worth pointing out though inca...

Re: Unable to get value of the property 'split': object is null or undefined

We went from 10.2.2 SP2 to SP4 on our dev server just before Xmas and haven't seen any issues such as the clearing of cache however we strongly suggest to users that they access via Firefox / Chrome rather than IE as we've seen a number of random rendering issues with IE over SP1 / 2 / 4 cycle. Has ...
