Re: Summarising numbers in an output cube
The rule is incorrect as there is no !Product in the cube you are writing the rule..... I was once given this advise and its served me well, generally best to keep the data in as much detail as possible then its easy to aggregate later, in this example you would be best to have the buyer as a dimens...

Re: Separate Dimension or Hierarchy
My view is its possibly best to split them out, you don't really loose that much and its much more flexible. I would expect Entity & Dept should be dimensions but also the other segments as well, then make the Accounts dimension into a nice hierarchy with weightings as needed. I was once asked t...

Re: TM1S has Stopped working
Hi guru1988fortm1, I think and I am not 100 % sure but if its the same Kung and looking at that post it seems to be, she has moved to greener pastures and is no longer working in the TM1 domain. I was involved in that project, at the time the dev server was being updated or had been updated by many ...

TM1 10.1 is this the end of EP ?
having looked a the earlier Beta version of TM1 10.1 (Nov last year) its quite a pleasing leap on first glance, some nice improvements in the UI and would seem to be attractive to the EP followers. If anyone has looked into the differences from TM1.10.1 and EP it would be interesting to know if ther...

Re: Month Lookup Cube ?
I would possibly use a TI process, you may benefit from a Date Lookup cube depending on your dimensionality.

Consolidated Financial Statements in TM1 ?
Having had some recent experience with Controller and seeing some of the challenges to get a nice slick integration with TM1 budget/forecasts, the question is soon asked "why not use TM1 to manage the financial consolidation? ". I remember Applix at one point had a consolidation product, f...

Re: Using Element Attributes to Map P&L accounts to BS Accou
I would prefer to use TI as against rules, easier to accumulate the values in the Balance Sheet Accounts.
If you wanted to use rules you may need to have 2 account dimensions to manage the many PL Accounts adding to the same Balance Sheet Accounts.

Re: Looking for the perfect General Ledger cube design...
Interesting .... the "Perfect GL". As Lazarus mentioned we have spent some time building a generic GL and we feel the result is a very flexible and articulate model. I think the posts have given a pretty solid grounding on core aspects but its no easy road and performance is very key once ...

Re: Picklists / Virtual Dimensions
Hi, I suspect in TM1 you will need a consolidation cube first in the same dimensionality but including the new dimension/s that you have as "Picklist's". You can then create a summary cube from that and remove the dimensions you don't need. The rules based on this approach are fairly obvio...
