Re: Unable to see server instances in a server, in the architect

Usually one of these
1. Client can not see server over network.
2. Client version differences mean that they can see but not talk to either, apply the TLS switch.
3. SSL certs on client side expired, apply new certs

Re: Drill-through to a cube view

! Of all the combinations we tried I don't think we tried that one. TYVM! Also thanks for the info on DBRW, shame we need to find this stuff out so indirectly. I get that this works if you want to switch from 1 hierarchy to another, does it work if you want to reference multiple hierarchies from the...

Re: Drill-through to a cube view

It would of course be great if we could change the view name in the returnviewhandle function. As I often find the last 10% of the design and implementation of the functionality can remove large amounts of possible use cases for the functionality. DBRW type formula and that can access hierarchies be...

Re: Drill-through to a cube view

AFAIK you've never been able to change the name of the view being opened, when we've wanted to heavily customise the view the user is opening you can change the subsets (and the postion?not sure I've tried) to something specific to the user at runtime. This is not normally an issue in a multi-user e...

Re: Tm1 pax always shows the reports as #Name?

Hi this happens because all the PAx add ins are not loaded. If you have the ribbon then the .com is loaded, if the excel functions are not working then you need to check the two excel add-ins are loaded as well.

These do occasionally seem to drop out...

Re: Aggregations in Rows and Columns do not work

Hi, To summarise what you are saying in your post. "When I look at particular consolidations on rows and columns , they display as zeros. When I look at the same elements as context / page / header references I get the results I expect. I only see this in the Cube Viewer in Architect or TM1 Web(?) R...

Re: Tm1 Support with Cumulative Data

Hi, You should be doing this in the consolidations for the dimension not the rules, rules will be significantly slower to calculate than a consolidation and will also require more feeding. You might want to put a picture, instead or as well as the .xlsx as many people won't be able to download it to...

Re: TM1Web and PAW not displaying data generated by TM1RPTROW

There are quite a few places this could go wrong Suggest you start by producing an active form versus the new cube from scratch that is the same as one of your edited reports. Publish this to TM1 Web Test if it works in TM1 Web / PAW You should now have a lot more information about what exactly is g...

Re: PAx - 404 error while try to open subset editor

One of two things.
You have pointed PAx at the TM1 server, it needs to point at the PAW server.
or
You need to have at least IE11 for the web components of PAx to work.

Porting content from Windows PAW to an Ubuntu build

Hi,

Has anyone out there ported PAW content from a Windows build to a Ubuntu one?

Struggling to get good information on this and just wanted to reach out to the forum to see if anyone has done this and if there any gotchas?

Cheers,

Re: How to cancel a thread that cannot be cancelled in TM1 Top

There are some releases of TM1, 10.2.X roughly where the cube dependency automation on the server ignores attribute references, the PA series corrects this and so they shouldn't get missed.

Not sure if the "fix" made it into the late 10.2.2 series.

Re: Planning Analytics using twice the memory of 10.1

Thanks to lotsaram and Paul for sharing this, a very interesting read. If you are impacted by this you could ended up quite blocked. - Convert dimension to hierarchy based, this may be complex and won't always result in a natural query structure for the user. Plus we do not (yet, when is it coming??...

A few things to check but no dramatic insights. Is trust programmatic access to VBA checked for the user concerned? (Cross posted) Which mode of security, assuming mode 1? Which version exactly of perspectives, I'm pretty sure some "stuff" changed in the PA build. Did you have this working before / ...

Re: Automating TM1 instance monitoring v10.2.2

In the cfg you can set a chore up to run when the server is up. In this chore you could output a text files flagging the server state to a common directory, or whatever you want, maybe trigger a mail to the specific users of that instance. Upto you where you go from here, you could read this informa...

Re: Calling DBRW function without mentioning instance name in the first argument

A use case for this is also to allow migration of application workbooks from Dev to live. You can use the TM1User function to determine which instance from a known list of instances you are connected to. A1= TM1User("Dev") A2= TM1User("UAT") A3= TM1User("Prod") B1=A1 B2=If(A2="",B1,A2) B3=If(A3="",B...

Re: Journal validation - account combinations

Depends on the volume of data but I would still be inclined to merge my AB, AC, AD combos into one long ABCD valid combination dimension. Then I would only have one test to perform in my data load. Also if I am allowing direct entry to my data cube for budget purpose for example, then having the val...
