TM1 License Question

Guys, The site I'm on is being audited by IBM. They are in the process of calculating their software PVU count. I have helped them out by coming back with a TM1 number. We have 2 physical servers and I was able to calculate the PVU value for these easily. We do however also have 2 web servers as wel...

Haven't seen it happen specifically like this but just to check, have you performed the mdx hierarchy refresh function in TI?
No I haven't. Well you learn something new every day. I'll run it and let you know if that fixes the problem,

BI Hierarchy Refresh

In the current TM1 BI reports that we have the...

Re: tm1s.cfg and the Parameter Server CAMURI

I've never tried it but sounds like a no go to me. What are you expecting? Should it try the first then the second you login? I'm not sure it would do it, as I said I've never tried it so I might be a millions away.

Re: Dimix with non-existing dimension

I'm not sure they'd go for this, after all you can combine it with DimensionExists. I guess you could argue that any of the statements that involve TM1 object checks should have something built in that would react in this kind of way? I wonder if the new coming development interface will cover this?...

Re: Perspectives button disabled TM1 10.2.2 & Excel 2016

I actually did a full upgrade to 10.2.2 FP7 yesterday. I didn't see this at all. This was after a fresh install of Office 2016 as well. Are you sure you've installed the correct version? You haven't installed the 64 bit version of the client on a 32 bit version of excel?

What's the macro security level set to? I'm not certain it could have something to do with it but it's something worth looking at,

That should work. Without more details it's difficult to give an exact answer but it does sound like the values are not fed,

Well the only thing I can suggest is doing a scan for carriage return ascii character. I can't remember its number but I believe it has one,

Re: Clean a carriage return character

As long as you set your field quote character (default ") you should be ok. I guess it depends where the data is going? If it's going back in to TM1 you should be good.

Re: Performance Modeler vs Architect

Thanks, Jim! Completely agree with you. That's why last IBM Course (IBM Planning Analytics/Cognos TM1: Design and Develop Models in Performance Modeler (v10.2)) was strange for me. It has almost no information about rules and feeders. What do you think about Cognos TM1 and Planning Analytics? What ...

Re: Cognos Analytics 11.06 Kills TM1 Web

To be fair IBM make it look like the "same box" in their demos. But I agree with Tomok, having them on the same box is never a good plan.

Re: Performance Modeler vs Architect

Hello there. This differs depending on who you talk to, but virtually every serious developer that I know see's PM as tool for beginners / demos. While calculations are relatively easy to put together in PM, the rules and especially the feeders generated are crap and in any model of any size they pe...

While Tom's answer was very shall we say, to the point, the point is still valid. Based on the (lack) detail you've given us it's difficult to draw any other conclusion. We have a guide on how to ask questions on here. I'm pointing this out, not to be funny or anything like that, I just want to make...
