Re: SQL Statement Failed

Does the user you are using to connect to the DB via ODBC have access to the table? Keep in mind that when you run it in Studio you will be running it as you,

Re: Process Stuck on Zero Out

Note sure if it is getting unhappy here: SUBSETELEMENTINSERT(dimIndex, subRef, strLoopEle, SUBSETGETSIZE(dimIndex, subRef) + 1); may be worthwhile trying: SUBSETELEMENTINSERT(dimIndex, subRef, strLoopEle, 0); If memory serves, I remember the 0 index adds to the end but you will need to test. Failin...

Re: Improve TI Processing Time

Based on what you've said the main culprit is either under performing feeders or just a plain old overly complicated rule on either side. But saying that there are other variables like users entering data, etc that could explain the reasons for this. Without doing an investigation it'd be difficult ...

Re: Tool to detect overfeeding?

It's not necessarily reversing your rule, it could also be that 1 element feeds several other elements, even if that one element does not occur in the rule. Very true. The example I always give for this is product margin. Sales units is the drive of sales, but it's also the driver of Margin, you do...

Re: Add CAM Users

Thanks Declan. When I go in I get 2 options: Active Directory or Cognos. Cognos only contains groups where as all users in active directory. That's where the fun begins, the client I'm at has literally thousands of employees and they never remove anybody from AD. It's like trying find a needle in a ...

I don't quite get it. Can't you add users through Clients/Groups interface?
Local user yes, CAM users no. We can add CAM groups, but when we go in to add user we only get the groups still rather than individual users.

Add CAM Users

Guys, I have a quick gander at the web and I can't find anything easily. Is there a way to manually add a CAM user before they have logged on? Normally they appear upon their first logon attempt. I wondered if just inserting a client including the namespace would work but of course that is just an a...

I asked as this is a specific questions which would normally be asked at the point of purchase, usually answered by the vendor.

Re: User Set Up in Cognos Administration update TM1 User Group

You need to manually add any new groups to TM1. Their group status is not then reflected until the logon when the link for the user is refreshed,

Re: Set ODBO Datasource in Prolog

I tried to simplify the query:

Code: Select all

DatasourceQuery =
'SELECT NON EMPTY
  { [OnBoarding - Projects].[?pProject?] } * { [OnBoarding - Version].[Forecast] } * { TM1SUBSETALL( [OnBoarding - Attribute Measures] ) }
ON COLUMNS
FROM [OnBoarding Attributes]';
But still not working

Re: Set ODBO Datasource in Prolog

So it looks like the query I've specified is not running in the Data Tab. It is still running the original query. I can only guess that I'm missing something from data source overrides: DataSourceType='ODBOMDXQUERY'; DataSourceODBOProvider='TM1OLAP'; DataSourceODBOLocation=''; DataSourceNameForServe...

Ah ok, so it behaves in the same way as passing a parameter to a query in the data source tab. Nice and thanks,

Re: Set ODBO Datasource in Prolog

Hey Wim, I'm having a play around with ODBO and I've tried passing a parameter to the code as follows: DataSourceQuery= '"WITH SET [Capital - Version Set] AS '' { [OnBoarding - Version].[Forecast] } '' SET Capital - Projects] AS '' { [OnBoarding - Projects].['|pProject|'] } '' SET [Capital - Attribu...

Re: Alias update and stargate view

I'm pretty certain that the system regards an alias change as meta change and would lock down the system. It may be taking longer as it will wait for any user activity to end before executing where as a data load (unless you're updating a dimension) will go in as a thread and will not halt user acti...
