Re: replace a subset value in db function

I always lean towards a lookup cube as it can be used within multiple cubes if you don't have a shared time dimension or even multiple time dimensions within the same cube.

Re: PAW server hardware requirement

16GB of RAM / 8 cores is recommended. For 100 users that should be fine. Most of the heavy lifting is done by TM1 so RAM usage is pretty stable. That's a very glib statement. Some rule heavy models with less users can take a crap load more memory than 16GB. I have 16GB in my desktop at home for gam...

I guess it would help if we knew how much memory your current model runs at?

TM1 License Question

Guys, The site I'm on is being audited by IBM. They are in the process of calculating their software PVU count. I have helped them out by coming back with a TM1 number. We have 2 physical servers and I was able to calculate the PVU value for these easily. We do however also have 2 web servers as wel...

Haven't seen it happen specifically like this but just to check, have you performed the mdx hierarchy refresh function in TI?
No I haven't. Well you learn something new every day. I'll run it and let you know if that fixes the problem,

BI Hierarchy Refresh

Guys, I am no BI expert. In TM1 we have been asked to remove a level from the hierarchy as follows: Old Total Department Facility Program Project New Total Department Facility Project I have update the hierarchy control cube to remove the Program level. In the current TM1 BI reports that we have the...

Re: tm1s.cfg and the Parameter Server CAMURI

I've never tried it but sounds like a no go to me. What are you expecting? Should it try the first then the second you login? I'm not sure it would do it, as I said I've never tried it so I might be a millions away.

Re: Dimix with non-existing dimension

I'm not sure they'd go for this, after all you can combine it with DimensionExists. I guess you could argue that any of the statements that involve TM1 object checks should have something built in that would react in this kind of way? I wonder if the new coming development interface will cover this?...

Re: Perspectives button disabled TM1 10.2.2 & Excel 2016

I actually did a full upgrade to 10.2.2 FP7 yesterday. I didn't see this at all. This was after a fresh install of Office 2016 as well. Are you sure you've installed the correct version? You haven't installed the 64 bit version of the client on a 32 bit version of excel?

What's the macro security level set to? I'm not certain it could have something to do with it but it's something worth looking at,

That should work. Without more details it's difficult to give an exact answer but it does sound like the values are not fed,
