Re: Drop Down Calendar Selection

Hi Elessar, haven’t had a chance to check this but I know I’ve had it working in tm1 websheets - do you mean it doesn’t work in the cube viewer in TM1 web or do you mean websheets? Or both? If so what fp are you on. It had been ages since I last tried it out, having given the date picker a go when ...

Re: Executing Java application through TM1 process

This is a pretty good example why it is always a good idea to explain your use case. For this requirement you don’t need any api only the }ClientProperties cube which you could show a null suppressed active form based on the “active” property. All you need is to set ClientPropertiesSyncInterval in t...

Re: Retrieving member name by alias

Thanks again, I check out the syntax for subset. For now, since I'm working in excel, I'm just using excel formula to truncate the leading 8 characters... but not sure if it makes in clunkier/slower. ... You could truncate (e.g use a LEFT or MID formula) but it isn't going to work for all cases. Bu...

Re: SubsetElementInsert

If you already have an All N subset, assign that to your view to be zeroed out. Alternatively, create dynamic subset for All N using SubsetCreatebyMDX. You should be able to find quite a few examples with a quick search - don't forget to set the last parameter to avoid an error on an empty subset. ...

Your symptoms sound very similar to what we have experienced that was solved by setting LockPagesInMemory=F. Hope this fixes it for you.

Re: Planning Analytics 2 - Can Pax & Perspectives Co-exist?

Perspectives & PAX can be co-installed just fine. However they cannot both be loaded in the same Excel session. That is one or the other add-in must be deactivated if you wish to use the other. I can certainly understand that from IBM's perspective it is just easier to have a blanket statement that ...

Re: How to reference data lines as variables in TI?

Tom read the technote. The issue is that Expand is really only designed for strings. So when it is used to read the value of a numeric variable there can be a loss of accuracy due to the string/numeric conversion.

Truncation to do with using Expand https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.tm1_ref.2.0.0.doc/r_tm1_ref_tifun_expand.html That string has a fixed minimum length of 10 characters. Re: Consolidation sum to exclude one element

Hi all, A dimension in the cube shows sum of all its elements at the consolidation level. I am required to sum at the consolidation level for all the elements except 1. Re: C Level Rules with attributes evaluations in N level elements

If you want the rule to apply at the C level on the time dimension but N level on other dimensions you can't use =C: in the rule, that limits the rule to C level elements across all dimensions. No, no. no, no and NO! The N:, C: & S: filters in rule statements apply to cube cells . To be consolidate...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Why are you doing this to start with? As normal practice you would export leaf cells with null suppression turned on. Therefore for any dimension where you have no need to apply a filter (e.g. you want all leaf elements) then you simply do not assign a subset for these dimensions as there is no need...

Re: Import data from SQL table into TM1 cube with user input

There is a requirement to import data from a SQL table into a TM1 cube with user input data. The import should not wipe out existing user input in the cube. How can this be implemented in a TI process? As Declan said, just make sure there is a separate measure for user input data versus date import...
