Re: Planning Analytics 2 - Can Pax & Perspectives Co-exist?

Perspectives & PAX can be co-installed just fine. However they cannot both be loaded in the same Excel session. That is one or the other add-in must be deactivated if you wish to use the other. I can certainly understand that from IBM's perspective it is just easier to have a blanket statement that ...

Re: How to reference data lines as variables in TI?

Tom read the technote. The issue is that Expand is really only designed for strings. So when it is used to read the value of a numeric variable there can be a loss of accuracy due to the string/numeric conversion.

Re: Consolidation sum to exclude one element

Hi all, A dimension in the cube shows sum of all its elements at the consolidation level. I am required to sum at the consolidation level for all the elements except 1. Eg. if the dimension has 10 elements and value against each of the element is 1, the sum at consolidation is showing 10. However, ...

Re: C Level Rules with attributes evaluations in N level elements

If you want the rule to apply at the C level on the time dimension but N level on other dimensions you can't use =C: in the rule, that limits the rule to C level elements across all dimensions. No, no. no, no and NO! The N:, C: & S: filters in rule statements apply to cube cells . To be consolidate...

Can't you just avoid the fatal error? Test for the existence of the source file and if it isn't there set datasource type to null and itemreject to create the error file. Then on the epilog pick up the error file name ...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Why are you doing this to start with? As normal practice you would export leaf cells with null suppression turned on. Therefore for any dimension where you have no need to apply a filter (e.g. you want all leaf elements) then you simply do not assign a subset for these dimensions as there is no need...

Re: Import data from SQL table into TM1 cube with user input

There is a requirement to import data from a SQL table into a TM1 cube with user input data. The import should not wipe out existing user input in the cube. How can this be implemented in a TI process? As Declan said, just make sure there is a separate measure for user input data versus date import...

Re: ODBC Driver Manager

Maybe nothing has changed in your source database however it looks suspiciously like someone has deleted the ODBC data source name from the TI process as you can see the error message complaining about a blank ("") data source name. If you are pulling DatasourceNameForServer from a cube value with C...

Re: Transfer data within cubes for a particular month and future set of months in a year

Why would you be using Bedrock.Cube.Data.ZeroOut ? As far as I know that process hasn't been in the bedrock library for many many years and is superseded by Bedrock.Cube.Data.Clear which you can get here. But still the principle holds true if you feed a bedrock process bad parameters (like a non-exi...

Re: Feeder for C level calculation

And if you were to write a feeder then what exactly do you think you would feed or need to feed? Feeders are an exclusively LEAF LEVEL concept. They exist for one purpose only: to enable consolidation of rule calculated leaf cells. Where no consolidation is required ergo no feeding is required. C l...

Re: Copying Data from 1 Element to Another via TI

I have a question, If I select a data source manually from a cube then I want to fetch data from another cube Is this okay?
