Re: TM1RunTI and number of cores/threads

tm1runti is quite picky about text vs numeric parameter values. In my experience it quite likes or requires the process name and all string parameters to be in double quotes. Depending on how picky it is feeling it might also like the user and pwd in quotes as well. If using CAM it can also be picky...

Re: Excel Subtotals at the top of Active Form

If you have TI at your disposal and can pass in parameters to identify the location of the cell with the MDX string then obviously the answer is yes. I guess you want this to work without TI?

Re: TM1RunTI and number of cores/threads

You should have 2 text files a bat file calling hustle.exe with 2 params being the location of the file containing the runti execution list and how many threads to use a txt file specifying on each line the location of tm1runti.exe the process to run and any necessary parameters If you can post an e...

Re: TM1RunTI and number of cores/threads

try https://github.com/cubewise-code/hustle it is a free utility which manages command line queues. All you need to do is tell the program how many threads to run at once and it will do the rest.

Did you try the old version of the function but using dimname:hiername for the dimension argument?
Yes. But this isn't accepted and throws a dimension doesn't exist error.

Re: Excel Subtotals at the top of Active Form

Try this alternative then: =SUM(INDEX(TM1RPTDATARNG1,,COLUMN())) Assuming the formula will be in the column it is summing, otherwise change accordingly. Damn it, it still works perfect in Excel but not in TM1Web, it includes only the First Row of ACtive Form in the Totals, so I guess eventhough we ...

Re: Cannot right click to create dimension, cube, ..etc

This is a peculiar quirk of our much beloved or unbeloved development interface. For reasons be-known only to the original UI developer the "Create New Cube" option is universally available when right-clicking ANY cube. However, for all other object types the create new contect menu option is only a...

Re: TM1 ZeroOut View TI Process Code Help

2 questions
1/ why not do it with MDX rather than the loop?
2/ is "1090-1000" the principal name or an alias? DimNm will always return the string of the principal name so if the principal name is actually 10901000 then that would explain it ...

Re: Action Button - Using a cell reference for the Tm1 Server

Bumping this to see if anyone has additional light to shed. We have the problem. However, the action buttons ALWAYS work in our dev environment. In our QA and PROD environments, the migrated web sheets are hit or miss on whether the action button will use the server reference or not. Just to get by...

HierarchySubset functions don't work

From our testing the new HierarchySubset functions don't work as advertised in PA 2.0.3 (in fact don't work at all) For example HierarchySubsetElementGetIndex(sDim, sHier, sSub, sEle, nIdx); Always returns the value given by the starting index nIdx regardless of the element name passed in. e.g. Hier...

Re: Could not create dynamic subset

That is what I exactly said :) When Creating Temp Subsets, the DimName argument should be placed in 4th place, Like in your third example: SubsetCreatebyMDX( sSubName, sMDX, bTemporary, sDimName ); I interpreted your answer as saying that sDimName had to be the 4th argument. That is, I thought you ...

Re: Could not create dynamic subset

DimName argument is also the approach that I have used for some time to prevent empty set errors. Still works, but the DimName has to be the 4th Argument Not quite true. The bTemporary flag is optional. If creating a temporary subset then the flag must be the 3rd argument and the optional dimension ...

Re: Change in Element Name of a frequently used Dimension

You don't need to reload all data. Or even reload any data. Just change one arbitrary cell value will do (and then change it back again if you like). All that's needed is to force the server to see a data change as this will force the cube to be saved to disk on next save data. And yes find replace ...

Re: Change in Element Name of a frequently used Dimension

The main thing to note here is that there is a potential for data loss *if the alias used for the swap is deleted* This is because TM1 won't recognize any change to cube data as a result of the dimension change (and really why should it). But within all the cube files in the file system the data is ...

Re: Anyway to prevent Files to Accidentally DBSW ?

DBS, DBSS, DBSW formulas are a bit of a hanglover from the 80s & 90s. Back in the days when TM1 didn't have any ETL capability this was the only way to send data to the TM1 database. These days they aren't used that much. Why is TM1 using the F9 to send? the F9 serves its own purposes and that it to...

There is actually a free utility available called TI Helper which can inject TI code snippets into the architect/perspectives process editor. Reverse dimension while loop is one of the included snippets.

Hello, I am running into an issue with the user created custom rollups. When users add a custom rollup to the cube view, they do not see any consolidated data there, though they have write access to all leaf elements in the rollup, and all elements' data is loaded, no rules. An admin can see totals...

Re: static subsets saved disappears

Thats the code we have . Are you sure? Like really, REALLY sure? Because if elements are being removed from a static subset (which isn't being edited in any way), then the only way that is happening is if the elements are being deleted and then re-added to the dimension. Have you double (and triple...
