Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )
Thanks Yuri. I was not aware of WSL 2 ( until I read up on it just then! ) per : https://docs.docker.com/docker-for-windows/wsl/ So what you are saying is that runing PAW on a windows env with WSL 2 is the way to go and its all peaches and cream? Would you go with this over Linux? If you would go wi...

Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )
I assume that perspectives and tm1 web will still work as they always have? Any ideas in regards to when perspectives and tm1 web will be shelved in favour of PAX / PAW combo?

Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )
Hey Guys, Alan - thanks for taking the time to clarify my points and the write up of another epic post! I feel your frustration and its dissapointing that the IBM documentation it not exactly clear. Its misleading that PAX requires PAW to be running / installed for us to use key functionality - its ...

Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )
Hey Guys, Appologes for asking this question if it has already been answered. We are looking to upgrade from TM1 10.2.2. to Planning Analtyics Local shortly and wanted to understand if PAW is required for PAX. My understanding is that PAW is an optional and is a seperate install and is not a require...

Installing 32bit TM1 Perspectives on 64 bit windows 7
Morning All, Just a quick one. IT have rolled out 64 bit windows 7 machines and excel 32 bit has been baked into this VM. Since you need 32 bit Perspective to work with 32bit Excel does the same rule apply to the operating system? i.e will installing 32 bit Perspectives on 64 bit windows environment...

Re: Control Cube for Managing Views
Also. This works very well in application. imho its best to keep the process as transparent as possible so putting all your view parameters into a cube works well. As long as you stick to a naming convention your should be able to manage conflicts ( if any ) easily. Also when ever a new user needs a...

TM1 Object dependency walker- get list of all dependent objects
Hi Guys, Is there a free tool available to get a list of dependencies ( i.e. TM1 objects ) that are dependent on what are you targeting? For example target cube A , has dependent dimensions A, B, C and D, and also has a Rule file This rule file also points to other cubes etc. I would like to grab th...

Hi Steve, Embedded image but maybe I need to get admin to allow it? > https://pasteboard.co/GzaZuVv.jpg Everything works, cube views and charts render etc but it just does not allow for these virtual hierarchies. I have also set the cfg setting in the tm1.cfg file as well. Your comment: "If you...

PAW ERROR - Unable to fetch data 'qdpu.....' can not be found in collection oft type dataset
Hi All,
Built a virtual hierarchy and when dragging across cube view and error was thrown:
Has Anyone seen this and know how to resolve the issue? I delete the virtual hierarchy how ever the issue did not resolve
itself. Any ideas??

Re: SSL Breaks RUNTI - (TM1 API Error) SystemServerClientNotFound Server connection failed
Further the complication arises due to TM1 authenticating through a COGNOS BI server. So this is be mostly different to other installations who donot have a COGNOS BI installation.
