Maybe a couple of things to look into.
1) If a custom report, is the "Refresh data on writeback" option set to "None" in the Planning Analytics Options?
2) Is the Excel Calculation Option set to "Manual".

Re: Pax - Dimension panel grey banner
We see this happen when Microsoft updates are pushed on existing setups with certain builds.
However, we also have seen this on new installs but not as often with existing setups.

If I am not mistaken, to be able to use PA as a CA data source, the PA version should be 2.0.8 IF (2) or higher.

In Excel, File->Options->General and check if the excel option “Optimize for Compatibility” is selected/active.
If not select/activate that option.

Re: Multiple PAX issues - Excel Office 365 compatibility?
We experience the same issues and below is how we resolve them. 1) 99% of the time, when #NAME comes up with DBR/DBRW formulas, deleting the "Office Connection" located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Cognos solves the problem. Users will just need to set up the connection URL. If the a...

Re: PAX Set Editor: assigning the “members to view” to default to something other than “All Roots”
I think with PAW 38, the ability to save private default subsets is enabled. With private subsets enabled, when you open the Set Editor, the right pane will display the elements of the private default. There is no mention of this functionality in the release but I have been able to make it work some...

Alan,
We do have Default public subsets in the dimensions. However, the Planning Analytics' subset dropdown defaults to All Members.
Is there a way to change the All Members to the Default public subset?
Thank you

IBM PAx excel addin conflict with Oracle Web ADI
We are converting from Hyperion Planning to IBM Planning Analytics 2.0. At first everything was working smoothly with the IBM PAx excel add-in until our accounting operations staff started using their Oracle EBS journal entry excel templates (Web ADI 12.0). Every time they will enable the Oracle tem...
