Re: TM1 Tools 64 Bit - Does it exist?
Ex-fricking-SCUSE me??? I wrote the majority of TM1 Tools, with Steve Rowe and Martin Ryan writing the rest of it (as was alluded to in the original post), and we are not now, and never have been Revelwood. TOO FUNNY! Yes, Revelwood did have a "TOOLKIT" and probably still does... Bu...

Re: TM1 Tools 64 Bit - Does it exist?
In response to the original question, I have a new user base which is entirely on 64 bit Excel and some of them are pining for TM1 Tools so yes, I am working on a 64 bit version but I'm looking at converting over to the Rest API since some of the functionality in the existing one is based on ye old...

Re: TM1 Tools 64 Bit - Does it exist?
Considering that is a Revelwood tool, and not something from IBM, you should probably contact them. Ex-fricking- SCUSE me??? Re: TI Process to increment value in a cell
I am building a TI process that looks for value at all the records at an intersection and increments another intersection by this value but I am not sure if I need to define a source and target view or if I can just do a calculation and if so how. As long as you can determine the target elements fr...

Re: ViewZeroOut doesn't work
It's not necessarily a case of "of course" above... I know that there are still a few V10 users around and I'd bet that the occasional V9.x user exists too. (I inherited a 9.5.2 instance only a couple of years back but I grant you 9.0.x would be way less common than that.) But that aside.....

Re: ViewZeroOut doesn't work
What version is this on https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/flash-viewzeroout-function-fails-without-error It seems you are right Version is 9.0.4 Thank you Why are you using a 3 year old version? 3 wouldn't be so bad. Generally I don't regard sitting on IBM's bleeding edge releases to be... ah, shal...

Re: Best practice for importing values from SQL Server
I'm using SQL Server. So when importing, I can use a TI process reading SQL Server Table and transfer data into the cube. When inspecting Bedrock functions, there are only file operations for importing and exporting data to files. Is there a reason, e.g. performance? I can't speak for the authors o...

Re: TM1s.cfg parameter to have Excel serial dates
To be honest I for one never bother calculating weekdays any longer. I just have a big-@$$3d 3 dimensional lookup cube which has dates from a few years back out to 2051. Dimension 1 is the dates, dimension 2 is the measure, dimension 3 is the measure type (string or numeric). Measure is a whole bunc...

Re: ODBCOutput Vs Google Big Query - One Person's Experience
Alan, I'm not a BQ expert, but have you tried this syntax? Or is this what you meant by batching inserts? It is indeed what I meant. INSERT INTO `your_project_id.your_dataset_id.your_table_id` (column1, column2, column3) VALUES ('value1', 'value2', 'value3'), ('value4', 'value5', 'value6'), ('value...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
I should have added emojis to my post as we all know that you are not the biggest fan of PAW 😂 It was meant to be funny 😆 Don't worry, my reply was me being dryly humorous. When it comes to IBM client software, my humour is often arid bordering on central Sahara. Frankly all the enjoyment of the ab...

Re: ODBCOutput Vs Google Big Query - One Person's Experience
Thanks for the detailed descriptions. I have never used Google BQ but it appears that a flat file can be loaded: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/52119663/loading-a-csv-into-bigquery-using-bq Wouldn't that be quicker and safer ? Not really. We want to move completely away from using files if at ...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
Yes, it's been 3 years. Time flies and IBM is coming to rescue: PAW with your own custom snippets (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=2081-snippets-in-process-editor) Interesting, but it's not exactly the 7th cavalry, I'm afraid. It's only for people who can get PAW working ...

ODBCOutput Vs Google Big Query - One Person's Experience
This is probably somewhat of a niche post since I don't know how widespread the use of Google Big Query (BQ) is in the wider TM1-osphere, much less how prevalent the need to write to it is. However I'll put my experience on the searchable record in the hope that it may save some future user from as ...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
My only contribution here would be to point out that this is not true Alan, and you should know that. So I'm not sure which axe you are grinding. The closest I'm coming to grinding an axe is in relation to a guy who hasn't shown his face here for a couple of years creating a new account, digging up...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
Since necromancing multi-year old threads seems to be the fashion of late, I thought it might be relevant to point out another detail that has evolved in lo these many years since this thread came up. That is, the development of Arc into an incredibly mature and powerful tool, one which has made lib...

Re: Bedrock And Github vs Other Options
To those who criticise it, I suggest you thoroughly examine your own motives and practices and see if it is actually yourself at fault. Eeeh, "offensive", "insulting"... not sure. One of them, I suspect, plus a couple of other adjectives I can think of. Wim and I gave hard, thou...

Global Variable Scope in TI; a Public Service Announcement
OK, this one is a little bit me not reading the manual fully and properly, and a little bit whoever wrote the manual not being correct in the details. I have a series of processes which consists of a master process (process 010) which calls worker processes (process 100, 110 and possibly 120). Proce...

There is an RFE to include 7zip, and it has "planned" status: https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PAOP-I-245 Not any more it doesn't, as of yesterday. If you've been following the history of enhancements that matter to CUSTOMERS rather than the IBM development team, you won't have ...

Re: Use rule to control Logging in }CubeProperties
Hi, all I was under impression that we could control "LOGGIN" using a rule in the cube, but looks like it is not the case. My version is 11.8.00300.34. I am using ['LOGGING'] = S: 'YES'; The usual way from CubeSetLogChanges and cube security assignment work fine. Any idea? Thanks. I doubt...
