Re: Chore resubmitting itself when Locked out by another Process

First, welcome back. As far as I'm aware it's been a few years since you darkened the doorstep.

Second, could you please advise which version you're on now? Your profile still says 9.0, which seems unlikely.

Re: Excel: Element of Subset?

Probably most of us have written our own VBA Add-In to do those functions that are present in TI but absent from the Worksheet such as SUBIX, ELISANC, etc. Unfortunately, since VBA cannot be used on TM1 Web it would be good to see these incorporated in the product by IBM. However, for the moment to...

At least in 10.1 and for that matter in 10.3, if the element is a valid element in the dimension then SUBNM will return the element regardless of whether it is in the subset.
9.5.2 and 10.2.2 for that matter as well. This is why a SubIx function has long been asked for.

Re: Fix Pack Releases: 10.2 Series

There are new interim fix packs for 10.2.0 and 10.2.2, both of which address security vulnerabilities.
IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.0.2 Interim Fix 10 (23 Jan 2018)
IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.2 Fix Pack 7 Interim Fix 2 (23 Jan 2018)

Re: Modifying Set Editor Defaults

Alan, We do have Default public subsets in the dimensions. However, the Planning Analytics' subset dropdown defaults to All Members. Is there a way to change the All Members to the Default public subset? In which case I'd remind you of this from the Request for Assistance guidelines: Ensure that yo...

Re: Modifying Set Editor Defaults

Is there a way to modify the Set Editor Default? We have a large dimension and users do not want to dig through all the members as the set editor is set to default to all members. How can I change the set editor to default to a specific subset. Tha You do that by defining the public subset named De...

In addition to George's question, where are you creating the process? Perspectives / Architect, or Performance Muddler?

Re: Poll : Which version of Excel is used in your business

I addressed this on my YouTube channel last week. I'd love to watch your shows/webisodes/whatever they're called. Not just to learn more about this topic but also to see if you really do look just like Mark Harmon. FaceToCamera2.jpg I did briefly consider doing a data management riff on Roberto Tar...

Yes, but that's because the gods hate you and have decided to give you an early taste of Hell.

(So how well does Perspectives work on that? ;) )

Re: Poll : Which version of Excel is used in your business

I suppose it had to happen eventually since 2010 is now 8 years in the past, though it's still arguably the most stable and predictable version out there. 2013 AND ITS ALL CAPS, ALL YELLING TABS was gone before anyone really knew that it was here; I never did use it operationally and I doubt that mu...

This works. I really don't understand the Expand statement, but I followed the example and it did exactly what I wanted. I turned two pages of code into about 10 rows. At the next TM1 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony this guy should be featured. It's Steve, he was inducted years ago. Expand really i...

Re: converting to date for comparing dates

i know scan will help to get the '/ 'position, but is there a way to get the first and second slash position too. Yes i know we can come up with logic, but you dont think its too much calculation , if length is 10 then the date otherwise , check if length is 8 or length is 9 . I do. Which is why I ...

Re: Cells not calculating unless edited

They seems to work as normal after edit/enter. It was only 4 cells that were affected on the sheet. I guess I was hoping to find out the cause to avoid having this happen in future. I know that I grouped tabs together to do a bulk edit, and maybe this triggered a bug. It's possible this was an exce...

Morning All, Just a quick one. IT have rolled out 64 bit windows 7 machines and excel 32 bit has been baked into this VM. Since you need 32 bit Perspective to work with 32bit Excel does the same rule apply to the operating system? i.e will installing 32 bit Perspectives on 64 bit windows environmen...

I've just been updated to version 1709 (build 8528.2139); the problem seems to have gone away (and DBRWs, active forms etc are still working).

Is anyone else still seeing it?

Re: TM1 Date Display Using Attribute Format

Wow. Ok, so thanks for that Alan. So if I am going to use date formatted cells, then so I can make the model work correctly it sounds like I should force the use of dates to use 1-Jan-1900. That way everything will be consistent. Would you agree? I think in the long term it'll make life easier, tho...
