Dimension Open, Excel 365 (2016) 64 bit and 10.2.2 Automation Error Crash

I haven't submitted this at this point because I need to check whether this is just a "my machine" thing or something that applies to everyone. Environment: Windows 10 professional 64 bit. TM1 10.2.2 FP 7 Excel 2016 ( 64 bit ) from Office 365. Note particularly the "64 bit" part which is where I sus...

Try to run the scripts/launch.ps1 script to see if you can access PAW directly against the container IP address.
"Error: No such object: pa-gateway"

But you do get a nice instance of Chrome out of it.

I am so sick of banging my head against Docker that I cannot even speak of it.

Re: TM1 Bytes And Nybbles Series on The TM1 Channel

I plead ignorance, but what is "Farm Manager?" Empirically? A piece of software whose videos attract ratings 30 to 40 times better than videos on TM1 do. In practice? A clickfest where the numbers are so randomised that they make any sort of meaningful analysis / strategic planning pointless, which...

Re: TM1 Bytes And Nybbles Series on The TM1 Channel

Does this scenario sound familiar? You open Server Explorer. You open Cube Viewer. You click on a dimension tile to change the selection. And nothing seems to happen. When you click on any other part of Cube Viewer all you get is an insistent "ping! ping! ping!" from Windows. No, TM1 isn't broken, i...

Re: Consolidation sum to exclude one element

You can create the total as a sum of 2 elements, the consolidation of 9 and the 10th leaf level element. Very easy. Thanks Wim. I do not want to specify the elements explicitly in the rule since there are chances of additional elements being added in the future. So how much ever elements gets added...

Try this: sPath = CELLGETS('Global Variables', 'Value', 'Path to Hierarchy Files'); IF(FILEEXISTS(sPath | pFileName) = 0); DATASOURCETYPE= 'NULL'; ITEMREJECT('File is missing'); PROCESSBREAK; ELSE; DATASOURCENAMEFORSERVER= sPath | pFileName; ENDIF; That doesn't work, the process still tries to open...

Re: Security Access Flag not being Deployed

Whether a process runs with security access for non-admin users is stored in the TI process .pro file as property 1217 http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=11770 It is, but interestingly it's not written to the .pro file until you do a data save. Until then the flag exists in memory only. This i...

Re: Entering Data in TM1 web on a C level Calc

Has anyone had any issues where in TM1 web you enter a value in a C level calculated field and it goes back to its original number? It happens on a few lines but some take the value in TM1 web. its very odd. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. The default behaviour for entering into a consoli...

Re: Copying Data from 1 Element to Another via TI

Hello there, After doing this process, It raised an error in the Data Tab that "NVALUE" isn't defined. Anything I missed? Thanks a lot, Mohamed Al-Bana. I think we would need to see the code before we could answer that. However at a guess, you have tried to use NValue with a data source that is not...

Re: Transaction Logs - Access Rights Required

Your approach with TIs sounds interesting. Do you not have challenges with this approach, when for example, you want to back out all transactions for a specific date ranges, user, element etc. I guess one would need a TI that read through all log files that are date stamped between a specific range...

Re: Transaction Logs - Access Rights Required

From what I can see, only users in one of the 3 admin roles can view the transaction log Only admins, anyway. I'm not sure if it's all three types because I regard the two newer groups as being a waste of space which were the result of regulatory demands to be Seen! To! Be! Doing! Something! after ...

Re: TM1 Bytes And Nybbles Series on The TM1 Channel

You aren't going to reconsider having a separate channel for the TM1 content verusus your gaming reviews? Ever see Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves where Little John says to Robin "You've stirred up a bloody hornet's nest now!" Same principle. That's not an original thought. Indeed in the first episod...

There are some security vulnerabilities in Java (I'll bet you've never heard those words before) which gave rise to a couple of new Interim Fix packs for 10.2.0 and 10.2.2 FP7. Links to the relevant pages are in the main post.

Is there any function in TI process to check the size of a file. I tried google and tm1 reference guide but couldn't find anything.
If not, is there a way to get the returnvalue from Executecommand().
"Size" in what sense; rows, bytes, kilobytes...?

TM1 Bytes And Nybbles Series on The TM1 Channel

The 5th episode of the TM1 Nybbles series went up an hour ago. TM1 Nybbles is the short form series; a maximum of 16 minutes of actual content plus intros, recaps and outros. (OK, one of them ran over by 33 seconds, but it'll average out.) You can spot them by the fetching shade of green on their th...

Re: TM1 Active Form is returning Zeros even when suppress zero is set to True/1. Please help

TM1 Active Form is returning Zeros even when suppress zero is set to True/1. Please help The usual cause is that the values aren't really zero but really tiny way-down-in-the-decimal-places values, usually derived from rules. I'd slice the view in question and format Excel to show the maximum numbe...
