Drill Through resets view in Performance Modeler from Excel
Hi there, Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with drill through from an Excel view in Performance Modeler? I suspect a bug! System is Cognos Express 10.2 FP1. Excel 2007. The drill through works perfectly well, in both Architect or Excel, but when launched from an Excel view in Performan...

Re: overriding Consolidation with Max value instead of sum
Would there not need to be an identification of level for Product in this? This code may produce a value at 'All Products' of 2000. With the requirement of All products to sum the components, this might not produce the right result at the top level, but will fix the issue at the initial consolidatio...

Re: calculated VERSUS stored & frozen historic data
Interesting set of comments! Just on one point - one concern though... how to you deal with hierarchy changes in for instance the costcenter dimension? If it's policy to restate historical data to align with the new / current org structure would mean historic data would have to be re-calc'ed and re-...

Re: Cell security and process in cognos TM1
Hi ChauBSD, Thanks for the extra detail. There is no way that you can submit 2014 in this application and leave 2015 open. Submission on a node (such as Binh Durong) will close ALL fields for this node. You could create a separate cube for 2015, which has the same structure as the one used in the ex...

Re: Cell security and process in cognos TM1
Hi ChauBSD, Just to help clarify your issue - this is in Contributor, and the issue is with the submission of a node in an approval hierarchy? You would like users to be able to submit one year, but not the following one, as that needs to be open for future input? My response below is based on that ...

Re: Creating a rule using an element attribute from a pickli
Hi, As you note, the issue is not the rest of the rule, but the evaluation of the condition IF (['Maturity Terms']>0 Can I clarify a couple of things? 1/ Is ['Maturity Terms'] an element in the cube - most likely in the measures dimension, and confirming it is a string element. 2/ Is ['Maturity Term...

Re: Drop Down Calendar Selection
Thanks Tomok; I was already using a picklist; the users wanted to be able to see the day (so that they could select the first Monday in a month, for example). What I will do is modify the subset used for that picklist to pick up the alias, including the day with the date. However, if new development...

Re: Published TM1 cube through Cognos BI. Question on Null V
Sounds like a zero suppression override. If you had all data points appearing this would kill your speed gains, so maybe a mapping to flag those lines of data that require a specified zero, using a flag in the measure dimension ( in the example, 1 = Active): For example: Sales Rep / Product / Month ...

Re: Drop Down Calendar Selection
Thanks Declan, I see the point of your suggestion; what I have users suggesting is the need to identify Mondays as per a particular month, or similar concepts, from a drop down box or similar arrangement of a calendar month, similar to a web portal type form. If I have this set up as a drill through...

Drop Down Calendar Selection
Hi there, Wondering if anyone can help me finish off an idea to select a date from a drop down calendar in a cube view, either through Cube View or from a Performance Modeler application? I am figuring that the initial part needs to be a drill through to a calendar, with the parameters from the sele...

Re: Websheets with TM1 Applications
I need some brainstorming and food of thought for using some existing web sheets in TM1 Applications. However I have experience with TM1 applications where you publish...

Another follow up question - you are using websheets - are they based on Active Forms?
Can you use cube views to achieve the same outcome?

Re: Excel 2013 Compatability, TM1 10.2 vs CX 10.2.1
Hi Declan, I have followed a similar process, copying the Xcelerator Client folder from an older version of Express, and then pointing the add-in at it. My issue is now that the icons display but there are no descriptions, and the TM1 icon at the top is not displaying, but can be selected. I seem to...

Hi tgaluskapatterson
Have you checked that the subset used as the approval hierarchy is fully expanded at the level you wish to use?
I have found this to be an issue also.
Kind Regards

Performance Modeler User Bouncing

Re: WEIRD Active Form Performance Problem - FREAKY
Hi Chewza, Is there anything unusual about the active form? Does it have any of: 1/ excel formulas calculating 2/ multiple cube lookups 3/ complex formatting (conditional) 4/ lookups to other sheets 5/ does this impact only on a refresh 6/ are there any action buttons on the form? Just a starting po...

Re: Excel 2013 Compatability, TM1 10.2 vs CX 10.2.1
Thanks Declan You mentioned issues with the web. Could you expand on that a little, given that CX will obligate Planner or TM1 Web to deploy in an Office 2013 environment? Interesting idea about upgrading Excel after deployment! Will see if I can get that to work! May not be this week though. While ...
