Block TM1 usage during upgrade / migration

Hello, The question might have bee asked in the past, I could not find any topics and no luck with Google either. If we migrate TM1 objects from development to production, is there any way to block users from logging in ? Users know that the application is down for maintenance but still they could l...

Re: PAW - missing dimensions and processes

Hi, It’s solved. George is right, the first user created becomes administrator. Apparently the customer had deleted this first user, and then the administrator role goes to the user that was created second. The user that was used for the screenshot did not have the administrator rights. Thanks to th...

PAW - missing dimensions and processes

Hello all, I encounter an issue with PAW, being that in the navigation pane for Applications, Cubes, Dimensions, Processes, Dimensions and Processes and control objects are missing: only applications and cubes.jpg Is this a setting that we can/should change, or more likely to be an installation issu...

Hello,

Posting an update after only 15 hours can be too optimistic. We are all volunteers helping other lab when there is time.

Re: Filtered by string measure in a 3 dimension cube

If you still have access to the Perspectives subset editor then you can record the MDX for what you want by turning the recorder on and then using the filter dialogue. Hi Steve, AFAIK you cannot record an expression when you filter on view extract. The icon is greyed out. Or did you mean something ...

Re: Transfer data within cubes for a particular month and future set of months in a year

2. The zero out view and source view will both need a subset containing the correct month(s), like you described. You can choose to create 12 subsets manually and thus reduce the coding. If you do it wisely, you could deduct the subset name from the pMonth parameter that the user fills in. If you pr...

Re: Transfer data within cubes for a particular month and future set of months in a year

1. Definitely. Since you don’t know upfront where the data will be in the source cube and data can change from one intersection to another, a zero out is needed.

Re: Copying Data from 1 Element to Another via TI

If I can get a blog or an article from A - Z or if you can help to understand and Implement this type of process because all posts I saw written from the end not from the beginning. Lotsaram pointed you to a generic TI process (Bedrock.Cube.Data.Copy in Bedrock). Please go there and dissect the cod...

Re: Cube Copy TI Process

Tom is right. I use code like this:

Code: Select all

sMDX = '{TM1FILTERBYLEVEL(DESCENDANTS([Month].[' | pMonth | ']), 0)}';

Re: Determine whether a TI process exists

Follow up: ProcessExists has been added recently to the TI functions. Thank you IBM. It would be nice if they also added a TI Function to delete a TI Process (such as ProcessDestroy or ProcessDelete). I have some TI Processes that their names start with } (like control objects) and they cannot be d...

Re: Number of levels above an element

TM1 supports the (rarely used) ASCENDANTS function which could help. Alternatively write a recursive TI - but remember that elements can have multiple parents. Hello David, You are right about multiple parents. Here is an example. If I manually drill up on the level 0 element until I get to the top...

Thanks,

Re: How to get string from log file ?

Hello Process this file in Turbo Integrator as a text file data source. The Metadata and Data tab of the process will allow you to write code to act on each line of the file. Typical functions to use will be Scan, Subst, Delet, and then of course DimensionElementInsert, CellPutN/S, CellIncrementN, ....
