Re: Issue with feeders

Hi George, At first sight this should just work. Did you do ‘Trace feeders’ starting in the white cell ? Do you have a rule at C level to overwrite the top right cell to 0 ? Do you have a Feeders section ? BTW, I don’t understand this part: ‘Since !SCM Cask Size @= 'Butt', 'Butt Equivalents' = 'Phys...

Re: Planning Analytics - Refresh Attribute Hierarchies

A combination of the functions HierarchyDestroy and CreateHierarchyByAttribute could be useful.
But I haven't tested what happens if you use the hierarchy in say a view, you destroy it, then recreate.
If the view appears to be broken, then please post back.

Re: TM1 Service Error

I might add another possibility here. The user profile states that TM1 version 10.2.2 is used. There were SSL considerations in that version too so chances are big that it is to do with 10.2.2 rather than 9.1

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Here is a possible helpful hint for dealing with MDX subsets going forward: if an MDX statement with filters does not return any members, then SubsetCreateByMDX will fail. One thing to do in order to guarantee the MDX statement will compile (assuming of course the statement is syntactically correct...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Yes, I expect the dynamic subset to expand since the dimension is getting updated daily with elements. I think since I am creating a temporary view in prolog and deleting it in epilog, I believe this solution will keep the subset updated everyday when TI executes. Your opinion/ advice is highly app...

PAW - use a file as datasource of a process

Hi all, I am playing around with processes in PAW. I try to drag and drop or browse to a text file to use it as my data source. However, nothing happens: 00.png My file that I drag and drop: 01.png I read that this functionality is not yet added to PA local but in the cloud it should work. My test i...

Re: TI process taking too much time to create a subset

Clever colleague you have 8-) The approach is correct. I think it’s logical that whenever you have a dynamic subset and you insert or delete an element, the dynamic character is gone. TM1 takes the set of elements that are in the subset at that time and continues working on it in a static way. If yo...

Re: Dimension subset editor in TM1 Perspectives

The other reason that the subnm double click often fails is that people often try and reference another cell to get the server name, this will stop the double click from working. =Subnm("Server:Dimension",.... works =Subnm( A1 & ":Dimension",.... will not work Just tested it and it works fine. PAL ...

Re: Dimension subset editor in TM1 Perspectives

In my opinion, SUBNM formulas in TM1 Perspectives never work properly. I usually get Visual Basic Error when I double click on a SUBNM cell from Perspectives so I do all my testing from TM1Web I wouldn't say "never", but you are right, we all have double-clicked SUBNM's just to end up with no ribbo...

the el 9 should always be excluded in the summation. How do I achieve this?
Why not just looking in the cube at the parent of the 9 elements ?
If you add a 10th element, then the parent is still correct, no ?

Re: Consolidation sum to exclude one element

You can create the total as a sum of 2 elements, the consolidation of 9 and the 10th leaf level element. Very easy.

Re: Dimension subset editor in TM1 Perspectives

It could be that the Subset Editor is shown (or TM1 tries to show) on a second monitor.
Do you have such a setup of a dual monitor ?

Thanks for the answers.

For the log, does it mean I have to make sure cube logging is on?

For the feeder, I checked and there's no feeder associated.

No it's the TM1 server message log that was suggested.

Re: Filter on TM1

As your process takes a view as data source, your variables will be your dimension elements, plus 1 variable for the value in the cube (that you copy). So then in the Data tab, use those variables and populate the target cells, for example by keeping everything constant but changing the element for ...

Re: Invalid string

Every element in a dimension must be of type String. I repeat, every element in a dimension must be of type String. Also the year 2018 in a dimension of years is a string, not the number 2018. Therefore, it might be that you need to convert a number to a string. What function could you use? ...........

Re: Invalid string

Most probably your variable vAT is of type Numeric. It should be String (textual)

By the way do you use these kind of short dimension names ? While you can, the names are far from clear and I would vote against it.

Re: Import data from SQL table into TM1 cube with user input

Or, just to add different options to the mix: input data (like adjustments) could come from a different cube - dimensioned differently. Then in that case, a rule could be written to transfer the data to the main cube. In that case, zeroing out all measures will not hurt you. Though I agree that sele...
