Re: TM1ELLIST with MDX

Hello,

I haven’t used TM1ELLIST yet so I cannot help you in detail with this one.

First off, Sheet1!$B$3 needs to be taken I’m out of the literal string enclosed by double quotes.

Thanks Lotsaram, that saves us from spending time on figuring out something that will not work.

Re: Deactivating chores in Architect takes time

Hi David,

Thank you. My question and your answer generated 2 new questions:
- would it be difficult to loop over chores ? Maybe also the active chores ?
- can we only use "c.reschedule(minutes=-1)" and not leave out the other statements (frequency, executionmode). These will not change anyway.

Deactivating chores in Architect takes time

Hello all, Last weekend I had to change a good number of chores in a rather big TM1 model, because of the clock that is reset 1 hour. By doing that (in Architect) we have to deactivate the chore first, then change the settings, and activate the chore again. Deactivating a chore can take a lot of tim...

Re: Localizing a TM1 model

You probably have to move Dutch to the top of the language list. Spot on ! Thank you very much ! I did not find a lot of information on this topic on the internet, just using Google, or the forum here. I wonder why this is because it seems to make an application multi-language in a relatively easy ...

Localizing a TM1 model

Hello all, I am exploring the possibilities of localizing a TM1 model. I do this in PAW 2.0.36 and PAL 2.0.6. The browser is Chrome. I have a simple 2-D cube with years and months. No measures. Month elements are M01 to M12 with a Caption alias to translate into different languagues. For now I have ...

Re: How to create a cube snapshot using TI

Alexis, What I can think of, is TI or Windows Task Scehduler, executing for example a vbscript code (ExecuteCommand). There you can do whatever you want. For example, a TI process dumps the data in a csv file, and the vbscript picks up the data and formats. Regarding formatting, I always tend to wor...

Basically the sooner we have this functionality the better.
It won't be in version 2.0.6 as this version is out.

Re: Rule file mismatch in architect and .rux file

That's not easy to say.

Did you perhaps use different rules editors ? Like Architect / Performance Modeler / PAW (/ the old Advanced Rules editor if that would somehow still work) ?

Or use the TM1 REST API to delete a process.

Re: Rule file mismatch in architect and .rux file

It's not blob but BLB.
Delete the BLB file and restart TM1 (or wait for a good moment to have it restarted).
You might lose formatting of the rules by removing the BLB files though.

Re: Cognos Applications (Contributor) Question

We have an approval hierarchy in Contributor - what that means is the user only sees (has access) the location that he enters his/her budget. We do not want to lose this functionality. This means that you can go ahead with IBM Planning Analytics ('TM1') but you will have to do the heavy workload yo...

TM1 REST API

Hello all, I was wondering where I could find example code to use the TM1 REST API using PowerShell ? I did my own research first. I can use Postman to execute statements. Postman can deliver the code that you can use in other programming languages, but PowerShell is not part of the supported langua...

Re: ASCIIOutput - Measures across top

I guess you mean copy-paste from Excel ? Yes, that would be an absolutely fantastic idea. You can also have a look at the Expand function, possibly linked to looping over a dimension of measure names (or aliases, whichever works best).

Re: Learning TM1

Do you inherit a TM1 model that you need to support ?
Or are you required to set up a new model ?
