Re: How to Use DBSW
Folks, I have attached a workbook that makes use of the TM1 sample database named "PDATA" I inserted an element in the actvsbud dimension named SendW01. the workbook just pulls data from the Actual elements and attempts to send it to the SendW01 element. Have tried some of the suggestions:...

Group. See attached. I know that this topic has come up a few times. How do we use DBSW with DBRW functions in the same workbook? When you wish to optimize the users' financial models for the WAN, we are told to use the TM1 functions: VIEW, DBRW, and DBSW. I am able to use the VIEW function and the ...

AutoCalc - set to Manual
Hello, I have discovered one reason why Excel workbooks have been auto calculating all worksheets even though the Excel's auto calculate setting is set to Manual. I am working with Excel workbooks that are over 10 years old, and somehow this named ranged was inserted to the old workbook. The workboo...

thanks eveyone for your help. I think the issue is that there are 2 hierarchies in the VodDay dimension. One for All Years the the other for Relative Times

Re: SubSet for Date Range - MDX
Evgeny, Thanks for your help. There is no error message. Probably the best way to see that the MDX does not work as expected is to use the 'Expression Window' to view the generated subset: You can see that we used the data range 4/30/2013 to 5/1/2013 but the data returend is all elements from 4/1/20...

SubSet for Date Range - MDX
Hello, I am using a parameter cube that has a start date and an end date to specify a date range that will be used by an MDX query to populate a dynamic subset. The Dynamic subset will be used by a view to determine which records should be zeroed out before loading data. The paper from Philip Bichar...

Re: 'Trace Feeders' contradicts 'Check Feeders'
Tomok, Thank you. Your suggestion worked. I am not sure why it did not work. New feeder: new_feeder.png Referencing a Consolidation on a feeder is shorthand for 'all n-level' elements under the consolidated element. TM1 does not feed from a consolidated element. Using 'All Departments' is stating fe...

'Trace Feeders' contradicts 'Check Feeders'
Hello, I have attached a Power Point file. I have a rule that is not Fed. I know it is not fed because when we turn on zero suppression, it disapears; when we right-click on it and select 'check feeders' a value of 'not fed' appears. When I generate a view, in server Explorer, that contains the Feed...

Separate Dimension or Hierarchy
Hello, My question: When is it better to create a dimension rather than a hierarchy within a dimension? What are the trade-offs? Will concatenating codes values make it difficult to drill-down to relational data in the source system? Should the depth of the hierarchy be one of the deciding factors? ...
