Re: Intermittent N6) Client not registered
Actually I have this error raised with me for a long time. I', assuming its fixed by CE 10 SP 1 rather than the interim fix pack.

BGInfo - Useful tool
Guys, Just was using this and thought I would post on it. Do you know about BGInfo which makes a desktop page for your servers. BGinfo.png I use it on all my servers. It's free and written by System Internals - available on Tech Net http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897557.aspx How I...

Dear Slava,
Please can you explain your issue more clearly?
What is not working correctly? What were you expecting? Did you blank out the names of the appilcations in your image?

Re: How to move all from one cognos server to another
A bit too vague sorry. What version of TM1? It is TM1 or Cognos Express. Are the servers the same OS? Are you using integrated logon? Have you already setup TM1/CE and just need to move the model over? Using Cognos Express you can backup the entire system and restore it into CE on a new freshly inst...

Re: Wellington IBM Cognos TM1 User Group
Dear All, Just some follow-up from our meeting last week. Great feedback for both speakers – all ratings were good or excellent. One suggestion was to include hand-outs as the projector can be hard to read. (Good idea for future speakers) No volunteers to run the group going forward, if you want to ...

Yes I did wonder if this was because in included the TM1 10.2 FP? Thanks for the clarification on Advisor. I know it unofficially been on the way out for a while but this is the first time I have seen something in writing. Should have been more specific, was really trying to indicate to my Advisor u...

Re: Cognos Express 10.2.1 coming out today
My email to the wellington TM1 user group In my last email I let you know TM1 10.2 was out.. I may have made some scathing remark about not holding your breath for the CX version. I was wrong! Cognos Express 10.2 is out today. Depending on your support agreement you may not be able to download it yo...

Re: COG-310 Tips
My 2 Cents on the exam I just read all the IBM manuals. I focused on TI and Rules as this was 50% of the exam. You need 73% to pass and I only got around 75% from recollection. Some of the questions are vague multi choice where I felt I understood the concept but the question and options were writte...

Thanks heaps guys,
That is a tricky one Gary. I have FP1 installed in CE 10 so hopefully that wont be an issue.
(Had to goto FP1 to fix dynamic subsets)

Re: Persistent Feeders in TM1 9.5.1
Read all the posts here and I'm just interested how may people are actually using Persistent feeders in prod, what are your experiences? I'm considering turning it on but not sure if I'm prepared for rules /feeder to not work (once in a while or with with monotonous regularity) In our user group it ...

Looks like you will need to setup a smtp relay http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600912 or modify the vb code to use the TLS Encryption method http://www.configureoffice365.com/configure-office-365-smtp-applications-and-devices/ However it doesn't look like the schema this is using (http://schemas.mi...

Re: Cognos Express 9.0 Migration to 9.5
I think with the Fix pack CE 10 is stable.
We wouldn't put in 9.0 as advisor had issues.
We didn't go with 9.5 due to a number of bugs we found in QA so 10 with FP one has been the only version signed off by the users.

Re: TM1 trend forecasting
SPSS is probably the right tool for this Gareth but it may be a tad expensive compared to your other options. It's a full blown statistic analysis and modeling tool. IBM are talking about integrating it more into their TM1/BI products in future releases but any details of that would probably require...
