Thank you Tom again,
I can confirm it worked fine once I got a user who had access to all the necessary tables

Re: Table-Valued function as data source in TI
Thank you Tom This is IBM cloud SaaS environment, so no chance to test it anywhere else than in the TI. The function works fine locally, and our ODBC connection is also set up and running, can read from tables Secure Gateway uses "ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server" Maybe I should have asked if...

Table-Valued function as data source in TI
Hi, does anyone know whether it's possible to use a table-valued function in the data source of a TI? i.e. select * from tfn_Test1 ('Param1','Param2') At the moment I'm getting an SQL statement failing error I remember I saw stored procedures working, but never tried table-valued functions Thank you!

Re: Pick list in Cognos Analytics from Tm1
Do you mean you cannot access the picklist from CA? As CA is a read-only user interface, you won't be able to use picklists, only read the values from the tm1 cubes

Thank you Edward,
yes, that is usually a better approach - at the moment I have a model that I inherited from others, so that's not an option

A question on STET rules
Hello, IIf I have such a rule [‘A’] = N: IF([‘B’] = 0 , 0 , STET); 1. Initially, B = 1, so I enter a value to ‘A’, let’s say 1,000 2. B becomes 0 (i.e. manual input or TI) 3. Now A is 0, by rule 4. B is now changed back to 1 again (by manual input or TI) How reliable is it to get back the original 1...

Re: ElementParent rule in Hierarchies
@Maren - your syntax worked too
I guess because in a DB() function, the dimension order is fixed, so no need to qualify it

Re: Cube data into SQL table columns
Hi, In this case you may want to create a C: element, which sums up all the 5 measures, and use that in the cube view data source Then on the Data tab: vMeasure1 = CellGetN(Cube,...,Measure1) ... So 5x CellGetN from the cube, and then 1x ODBC Output in the Data tab This will work fine as long as you...

ElementParent rule in Hierarchies
Hi, I am trying to write a "% of Parent" -type of rule in an alternative/virtual (not sure what's the official term...) Hierarchy. Here below is a simplified code of this The rule for the primary/base dimension looks like this, and works fine: [Measures: '% of Parent'] = [Measures: 'Gross ...

FILTER by Value with nested rows
Hello, I have cube with versions, time, stores, departments, and metrics dimensions. I am trying to use a dynamic set on the rows to show only those department/store combinations where the margin 5 (shown on the column) is less than 5%. So departments and stores should be nested Simple MDX would loo...

Re: Retrieving Data using Alternate Hierarchy
Hi, This is now more than 2 years old, anybody maybe know more about the "roadmap"? If we need dynamic (on rows) but formatted reports in Excel with Hierarchies, I am not sure what is the best way of doing it - custom reports are not dynamic, quick reports do support Hierarchies, but they ...

Re: TM1 Process Keeps Rolling Back and Restarting in Parallel Executions of Batch Mode
I saw this in 2.0.6 when the process clashed with a SavaDataAll chore and in that case either both were hanging forever or in better case the process with batch update rolled back and ran once again

Just guessing here.
Maybe this is still relevant and MTQQuery=T is not enough, and you have to follow the rules as explained in this technote?

Re: Message log not updating in Architect
As this was happening to all of our databases, we solved it by the following steps:
1. Stop all databases
2. Make sure the sharedmemory.exe processes are also stopped
3. Rename the log files / start new log files
4. Start the databases again

Message log not updating in Architect
Hi We are facing a weird issue in Architect/Perspectives, 10.2.2 FP4: the message log is not updating. tm1server.log is fine, entries are there, it is just the message log window which is not updated. It always stops at an entry during the previous server restart, but not always on the same entry. S...

we had this in 2.0.4 on the cloud, IBM was not able to find out the reason, a simple db restart solved it
