Hello, Over the last few months IT departments of some customers have canceled any Kerberos authentication. So with TM1/PAW/PAfE. Now some of the customers switch to TM1 security typing username and password and therefore got an requisition of IT that the password have to expire after 90 days. I can...

PAW integrated Login with constrained Kerberos?
Hello, For integrated Login to PAfE and PA Spreadsheet Services we need to configure Kerberos for an user. This configuration have to be unconstrained (Trust this user for delegation to any service) in Active Diretory. In last months some of our customers declared this method unsave and blocked usin...

PAfE - Suppress Excel Loginprompt
Hello,
We use PAfE with SSO and it's working. But everytime someone starts an PAfE Report the blue PAW Login Window Appears and the need to confirm the windows logon.
Is there a way to suppress the blue PAW login window and use instead SSO directly?
Thanks and Regards
Jani

Re: PAfE - TM1ELLIST - returns just 1 element
No, they don't work. But it works on my laptop. I couldn't find any checkbox to activate that feature, is there anything that i need to install first? Examples from Microsoft are available for Office 2010-2019 and 365, so I don't think it's a problem of the version. https://support.microsoft.com/en-...

PAfE - TM1ELLIST - returns just 1 element
Hello, We are facing a problem using PAfE 2.0.81.3 with PAW 2.0.79. PAW server and database is the same in this test. On one side I use my personel notebook with Office 365 x86. For example we tried the formula =TM1ELLIST("24retail:organization";;;"Caption_Base"). The result is a...

Re: PAfE with blank windows from PAW
@JohnO It's the Connection URL you enter in PAX, it need to be FQDN.
IBM confirmed that they made the same observation about the connection URL and they are checking why this is.

Re: PAfE with blank windows from PAW
The Ticket is still ongoing at IBM, so far we discovered that it seems to be the qualification of the used URL. If we use "http://servername" the blank windows error may occur sometimes, but not always. If we use fullqualified "http://servername.domainname" it seems to work fine....

Re: PAfE with blank windows from PAW
We renamed "%localappdata%\cognos\office connection" and started from the beginning with a new PAfE profile. After that we do some testing and everything works. So far, so good. For testing we reactivated the old folder and still everything is working. Seems very weird but actual it seems ...

Re: PAfE with blank windows from PAW
Hi, The compatibility tab is missing on the excel.exe on both systems (Win Server 2019 + Office2019 // Win11 + Office365). It's only a problem in PAX/PAfE. PAW works fine. Edit: In the Logs we found this error repeating a lot of tiems (Error 503 Server unavailable) but we're not sure where it comes ...

PAfE with blank windows from PAW
Hello, we’re currently faced some issues using PAfE. If we connect to a database and then want to see a cube view or edit a set of dimension elements the new window from PAW stays blank. If we close it and reopen it a new login request pop up and the same starts from the beginning. What we use is PA...

Hello all, we've got a question. What happens if we're encrypt a database by using tm1crypt.exe. Our server craches and could not be restored. So far I tryed I can't start the db from another server to decrypt it, because everything crypted is overwritten by starting the service. Would there be any ...

Using PAX but disable PAW?
Hi
We want to use PAX including the set editor (example what I mean in attachement (don't know the exact english name)).
But we won't allow the user to log into PAW. Is it possible to block the PAW login without block PAX? If yes, how?

Update from TM1 9.5 to TM1 11
Hello
I wasn't able to find any info about the question I got from a customer.
If I have database from TM1 9.5 (CX). Ist it possible to put it into a TM1 11 (PA2.0) directly or do I need to update/start it with a TM1 10 first?
Regards

Re: Result of an subset as a element in other subset
... One way, if you are feeling adventurous, is to create a subset using MDX to filter the required attributes based on attribute or cube reference etc. Once you have a subset, you can reference the subset name and get the total based on the aggregation of the elements. Hi, yes we like adventures :...

Re: Result of an subset as a element in other subset
To make it a fix structure we also thought about. But keeping the dimenson clean we would like to do it virtually in subset. If there's no other way than building a real new consolidation we will do it, but first we hoped we find another solution here.

Re: Result of an subset as a element in other subset
We have multiple front ends, therefore we want to solve it in database, not in front end. I try to describe bit better. We have a dimension of car models. It looks like -Total -- Model A --- Model A Year 2017 --- Model A Year 2014 -- Model B --- Model B Year 2017 --- Model B Year 2012 The Base Eleme...

Result of an subset as a element in other subset
Hi We are facing with an problem. We need to use a subset in another subset. So far so good, no Problem using e.g. [Periods].[All_Base]. But this give us alle the elements of the given subset (Jan-Dec), but we want just one element (All Months), which contains the elements of the subset. We think it...
