Re: Number formatting on charts in Slices / Active Forms
Jim, thanks for the reply. Wanted to quickly check if another issue we're facing is related: Attached a few screenshots, displaying two very simple examples of a process performing a CellPutN function. In the Process_01 example we’re trying to write ‘2.345,67’ to the cube after converting the string...

Number formatting on charts in Slices / Active Forms
Hi, Just wondering if any of you have come across this particular issue we're currently facing with charts embedded in TM1 slices and active forms. To explain in a few quick bullets: We created a very basic slice in Perspectives, on which we built (again a very basic) stacked chart: Screenshot_01.jp...

Re: Tm1 10 - Cognos Everone group.
Hi, Just to add a follow-up question this because we're experiencing the same issue. I find it normal and desirable that users are added to the list in TM1 as soon as they try to access it. But on the BI groups we want to be able to add and control them manually. Because in BI I would think all user...

Re: Security assignments on chore disappearing after edit
Thanks for the quick reply. It confirms what we already suspected so at least that's that. Quite annoying and in my opinion also not the kind of behaviour you would expect (i.e. a bug) but ok. Your suggestion regarding security rules on chores was something we were also thinking of, so that's likely...

Security assignments on chore disappearing after edit
Hi, Just a quick question on the security assignments on chores in TM1. I'm wondering if what we're facing is a bug or is something we weren't aware of: [*] We have automated the daily data uploads from source systems through TI's and chores [*] These chores are scheduled to run automatically each n...

Re: Regular Disconnect from TM1 Servers & Instances
Perhaps also worth mentioning is that we have set the ClientPingCAMPassport parameter to 1800 in the tm1s.cfg file (equal on all environments). But the disconnects happen more often than every 1800 seconds, so I don't think this is causing the issue to be honest. Seems somehow related to the upgrade...

Regular Disconnect from TM1 Servers & Instances
Hi all, I was wondering if someone else has come across these error messages often recently? DisconnectError.png We've been experiencing these quite often recently. Some additional remarks that may or may not help, but unfortunately all rather subjective thoughts: We started getting this problem aft...

Re: Tuning Cube Performance
Hi Jim, thanks for your quick reply. On your questions: 1) I try to avoid conditional or variable feeders as much as possible. I usually rather go for a bit of overfeeding instead of using variable feeders. I'm assuming you ask this because of the "ForceReevaluationOfFeedersForFedCellsOnDataCha...

Tuning Cube Performance
Hi all, We've been working on improving the overaal cube performance for one of our models and I was wondering if I could get some thoughts and expert advice on what we have done and/or are looking at to make sure we're approaching this in the right manner. I still have a feeling I'm not fully grasp...

Re: Issue with Integrated Security Mode
Hi, thanks for your feedback. To answer your question with some additional remarks: - Without the checkmarks the security setup in TM1 restricts access to the cubes, which is, given our setup, the normal and expected behaviour - In other instances we did notice a perfect synchronization of the check...

Issue with Integrated Security Mode
Hi all, Quick question to check if someone has ever encountered the same or a similar issue with the Cognos BI Integrated Security Mode. Issue we are facing is the following: TM1 Model is integrated with BI security through the IntegratedSecurityMode = 5 and ServerCAMURI and ClientCAMURI parameters ...

Re: Problem with running local server (models)
Perhaps a useful addition after checking with IBM Helpdesk: Starting a local server means starting the TM1 local server that is installed with TM1 Client, without connecting to any TM1 Admin host. That means that the "Data directory" field, that you see in the TM1 Architect options, is alw...

Re: Problem with running local server (models)
It does sound like a bug. AFAIK it has always been an option to run a local server from a local data folder on your own machine with just a Perspectives install. There was another thread where a similar matter was discussed. It looks like something has occurred, by error or design, in the last few ...

Re: Problem with running local server (models)
Just to make sure I'm following because indeed I think we're talking about two different things here. What I'm trying to set up is the possibility to run local models on a client using the "Start local server" option in the file menu of Perspectives or Architect, referencing a local folder...

Re: Problem with running local server (models)
Lazarus, Thanks you for your reply. The option you suggest, I believe is only possible from the TM1 server or if you have a TM1 admin server installed on your client, right? I'm aware of how to run new models using the tm1s.exe option, installing them as a windows service or as of version 10 using t...

Problem with running local server (models)
Hi, I'm faced with the following problem and I was wondering if someone encountered the same thing before. I've installed TM1 on an internal server and the client tools on my personal laptop. No problems with connecting, I can access and open models running on the server without any issues. Next I w...

Contributor issue after changing the security settings
Hi everybody, I've been struggling with a Contributor issue which I think was caused by me changing the security settings on my instances. So to give you some details: I've uninstalled version 8.4.1 of BI and version 9.5.1 of TM1 to install v10.1 of both TM1 and Cognos BI. No problems here, got both...

Re: SubsetCreatebyMDX in combination with parameters
Jrizk, Thanks for your reply. I've tried your suggestions but I still receive an 'unable to resolve TM1 subset expression' (see attached screenshot). The good news however is that in the expression in the error, you can see that he has replaced the parameter with the correct value from the prompt. (...

SubsetCreatebyMDX in combination with parameters
Hi, Quick question on the use of the SubsetCreatebyMDX function in TI processes: Is it possible in some way to include parameters from your process in the create statement? For example: I want my user to be able to indicate a certain (consolidated) element in the parameters of the process and have t...
