Re: formula for element property in hierarchy

Thank you very much Wim. I have been doing exactly what you suggested for the last 6 years.
I was wondering if there is something more 'clever' found by the experts.

formula for element property in hierarchy

Hi experts, I want to use the same hierarchy of Balance sheet for 2 sets of data with different signs. First set of data, the signs are negative and positive which gives me the balance sheet to zero. (all elements properties are +1) the second set of data, all the amounts are positive, but I need th...

FEEDERS issue/Bug

Hi Experts, I was wondering if any of you have encountered this issue: - A cell is not fed anymore (after a restart of the service) - Check the cell - NOT FED - Check the Feeding cell using TRACE. It says that my above cell is FED Have to Trick TM1, add a bogus line in the feeders portion of the Rul...

Deleted calculated element in measure still showing

Hello experts, I have the weirdest 'bug' i have ever seen with my 6 years with TM1. I had an element in a measure that I calculated via rule. I changed the element name, I change the rules and I deleted the element. I opened an old 'perspectives' report where this element is still mentioned. I would...

Re: pass values between Websheets in TM1 Application

Sorry Lotsaram, but I am still struggling with this issue. I might be writing too much in the subnm or too little. But it is not working. I have 5 websheets that I put in a tm1 application (responsibility). In the all the websheets, the user has to enter which supplier he wants to see details. IN ea...

pass values between Websheets in TM1 Application

Hello Experts, I think it is too simple, but I cannot see it. I need to create a tm1 application with 5 different websheets each containing more than 1 sheet. The user will enter his choice of which supplier he wants to see in the first websheet, and I need to pass this information between websheets...

Re: TI process does not pick non fed leaf level cells

Thank you so much both Declan and David. Yes Declan I had the rules to be picked up, but it was not doing it.
But I will definitely take David's idea of a hierarchy.
Thank you so much

TI process does not pick non fed leaf level cells

Hi Experts, I have a measure C = A - B (A is static during the day) B is where Users enter their numbers C is used ONLY to capture where the user has changes during the day. ( I don't need C to be fed) I created a TI process that reads C to update A (when needed). The TI does not EXTRACT non fed lea...

Multi Thread Rules Saving

Hi Experts, I searched the forum for this topic, I found a lot of multi-treaded questions/answers but I did not find what I am looking for. I dont know if it exists or not. So before putting it as a suggestion here it is: I have mtq using multithreads when I query (perfect) I have maximumcubeload fo...

Re: Simulation of Array variable types in TI

yes, it is 2015- Yes, I have the same problem. I tried to open the document mentioned above, but it is not there anymore. Do anyone knows in 2015 how to created array variables in TI and give these variables a value. In other terms I want to say (in as few lines as possible). var(1) = Index Var(2) =...

Re: Drill Customize - RESOLVED

Sorry for the miunderstanding.
I finally figured it out. I dont know if it is the best way but here is what I did:
1- I created a subset inside the Period dimension
2- I put the period (as part of the view)
3- I change the elements in the view in the prolog.

Thanks

Drill Customize

Hi experts, I am trying to drill from 1 cube to another. I have the PERIOD dimension that is in both cubes, but I want to drill to the next period (yes, I have the attribute). I dont know where to put the rule and how to change from the incoming period to the next one in my drill-to cube. Thanks Mic...

Re: Variable Dimension Subset name in TI

hi qml, Thanks for being online this sunday. I know you answered this question in a different thread, but I dont seem to be able to make it work. It is the subset filter by pattern where the pattern is a variable. I tried almost all combinations but not working for me. Could you help? merci. Micheli...

Re: Variable Dimension Subset name in TI

Thanks A million.
I never knew about the datasource type commands.
Much simpler than what I was doing for the cube thing.

I think it is going to work.
THank you

Re: Variable Dimension Subset name in TI

Hi Qml, Pardon my translations. But what I do when I want to extract data from a view in a cube, I create a Temporary view in the prolog using ViewCreate (cube, extractfromhere) and the 3 viewextractskipcalcet, valueset and zeroset. I do whatever I want in metadata and data and then I finish by dele...

Variable Dimension Subset name in TI

Hi Experts, I am trying to write a TI proccess and I want to read a subset by using a variable (instead of hardcoding the subset name in the ti Data source name). I know how to do that for a cube view using the ViewextractSkipCalcsSet in the Prolog, but I dont seem to find something similar for dime...

Secure the RULES

Hi all,
This could be a stupid question, but I dont seem to find how to secure the rules from the end users who have access to Perspectives and have write access to the cube.
I do not even want them to see that this cube has a rule file.

THANKS a million
