Re: Subsets and Views not registering after Restart
I saw this regularly when I was at King, where they had 10.2.2 FP3. It was odd and intermittent as you said. I even put it on the dev server and they re-appeared when server started but not in live. Sometimes, I restart the live server and they come back. But most of the time I have to manually re-c...

Re: TM1 Web OR Contributor?
Just to add that TM1 Web has longer shelf life, as IBM guy (at Sempre's Customer Day) said they are trying to re-write the Contributor/Workflow functionality from scratch. Massive credit to Contributor/Application Web really, as they have been redeveloping this for over a year now... Once they have,...

Re: TM1 Server crash on saving dimension (status Suspended)
Just an update on this log.
Finally updated the server to PA 207 to go to PAW, and the bug has gone. Server no longer crashes on saving Dimension.
Would recommend anyone who is on PA 205 to move away from it if possible.
Cheers,
Ken

Hi Peter,
The TM1REBUILDOPTION is set in Excel under Formulas=>Name Manager and is attached to individual Excel sheet with TM1 Slices.
You need to set the value to 0 and save your excel report.

Re: TM1 Server crash on saving dimension (status Suspended)
Thanks guys. Good to know it's not only me. Looks like I will try to do this after hours or setup a TI to do it. Our reseller (sempre) suggest playing around with some CFG parameter to see if that helps. I will update if I can re-produce this problem and get something concrete to IBM. ...feels like ...

TM1 Server crash on saving dimension (status Suspended)
Hi everyone, It's been a while since since I posted anything. Hope everyone is doing splendidly well! ;) We have recently been getting intermittent PA server (11.0.5.79-0 on cmplst file) crashes when saving dimensions in Edit Dimension Structure. Our dimension are rather small but when it happens, t...

Re: TM1 clients missing after server restart
Hi Jodha, The most likelihood of this that the TM1 server did not commit to disk properly (hence the error in the log) and corrupted your {Client control files. When this happens you should see the .Cu$ or .Di$ in your data directory. Renaming them usually does the trick. I would also check to ensur...

This has always been a problem due to the way TM1 licensing relying on the the TM1P8.lic file on local user PC.
Would be interesting to see this Cubewise product as that would be really handy for us too.

Re: What is the best way to deploy from dev to prod?
Hi Andy, I dont think there is any easier way and it's just the case of downing your Prod server, back it up, copy the delta files over from dev using the date stamp as quide. I guess you will also need to know the extension of the files .PRO - process, .RUX - rules, .CUB - cubes, .SUB - subset...et...

Re: How to Use DBSW
I would just have the DBRW and DBSW on the same sheet. Then put an if statement to flag a certain cell (Y or N) so DBRW only activates if the cell matches the criteria. Something like =if(C4="Y",DBSW(....), "not sent") Can even go further to have an Import button that activates t...

Re: How can I run TM1 ver 2.5 on Windows 7???
Hi Rozmus, I can't really help much here (don't think anyone could tbh), but I have to ask if you work with Hasmuk Patel by any chance. As he's the only one I know in the UK that is still using TM1 2.5 and I was the one who sent him the floppy disks in 1998! If you are not employed by Hasmuk then I ...

Re: TM1S HAS STTOPED WORKING
Hector,
A good place to start would be to look in your tm1server.log file for any errors.
Or if you have TM1Top running, do you see any processes that is locking the server?
Cheers,
Ken

Re: TM1 9.4 MR1
I have been testing 9.4 MR1 with the MaximumCubeLoadThreads and the RAM does not free after loading.
I could be mistaken, but I don't think the RAM can be freed.

Ken

Re: TM1 9.4 MR1 Crash when chores queue up
Thanks for that. I will probably use the flagging method (in one of the lookup cubes) and then get the chores to reference that before executing. I am still going to get IBM\Cognos to give me an answer, especially now that I realised that it was a bug in 9.1. Can anyone confirm what version of 9.1 t...

TM1 9.4 MR1 Crash when chores queue up
Hi all, I have encountered an issue that is a show stopper for us going live with TM1 9.4 MR1. I consider this a bug as it does not manifest itself in TM1 9.0 SP3 and it may affect you. The issue is when our intraday chore (runs every 10 minutes) runs into our overnight chore (runs at 6am every morn...

Re: 9.4 MR1 - memory leakage issue?
A suprising result. It does appear that the MaximumCubeLoadThreads significantly affects the Ram consumption. Nice one Scott. On the server that had MaximumCubeLoadThreads=1, loads at 45 mins taking 5GB. Original server with MaximumCubeLoadThreads=7, loads at 25 mins taking 10GB. Tested on same hard...

Hi, Firstly, Thanks Steve, the little man (Dylan) is hard work but it's all worth it. I can't remember what my golf clubs looks like anymore. All I see is nappies....arrrghhhh...;) We have an intensive rules\feeders application here, so I was not too suprised that it went to 10.7GB. I will test the ...
