Re: Count the number of Accounts for each agency

Is there a TI function I can use which will take the agency as input and give me the count of accounts under that agency . No, but you can always write your own. If it was me I would have a TI that takes the agency as an input, builds an MDX-based subset on the dimension that does a TM1DRILLDOWNMEM...

Re: Application worksheets, macros and websheets

It's common to produce a Perspectives excel report, perhaps adding some macros to it and then publishing it to the "Application" folders for users to use. But when those reports are accessed via TM1Web, the macro functionality is lost. The answer is you have to add the .xlsm file to the application...

Chore Details

Does anyone know where Chore details are stored? I know just about everything else is in a control cube somewhere but I can't find anything chore-related, except for the }Chores dimension. I've never had the need to look that stuff up before and now I've inherited a system full of chores and I'm try...

Re: replace a subset value in db function

You have two options that I can think of; 1) have a lookup cube (as has already been mentioned), or 2) create an alias on the time dimension and make the alias value for the current month equal to "Current Month". That way you can reference "Current Month" in your rule. When the next month rolls aro...

Re: Help on Active Form

You can't directly reference a cell that is part of the active form because the active form rows are deleted and rebuilt each time you rebuild. This will kill any formula that directly references any part of the active form. Look into the OFFSET and/or INDIRECT formulas in Excel. This should solve y...

Re: Improve TI process time for cubes with heavy rules

If you really need to run this every 10 minutes have you considered just moving the data for changed employees (assuming you have an employee dimension)?

create an additional dimension and insert all elements the user should be able to see.
Have you actually tried this? I'm not saying it won't work, I'm just skeptical that you can reference a dimension that is not in the cube in a TM1RPTRPW formula. That would be a great solution if it does work.

Re: Performance of Architect Vs Perspectives

That's an 8 year-old post (TM1 has changed a little bit since then) and it's just flat-out wrong. It was wrong back then and it's still wrong today. Architect is a stand-alone app that uses API calls in the background to do it's business and Perspectives is an add-in to Excel that users those same A...

Re: Active Form Drill down help

You can do it through element level security. Create an }ElementSecurity_YourDimName cube for the dimension you are talking about and write a rule that only gives READ/WRITE to the elements you want via a rule and ELLEV. In order to work properly you MAY need a balanced hierarchy though. With a ragg...

Re: Average and Average ifs excel function in tm1

I just want to know if there is an equivalent formula in tm1 to write the rule for the below calculation 1 and calculation 2. No, there isn't. Those formulas require any array of inputs and all existing TM1 formulas work on a single cell. TM1 has no knowledge of time-series, You have to create that...

Re: Excel VBA API Crashing on TM1ObjectListCountGet

How then to they plan to expose their objects to developers? Not only in VBA but in full frameworks likes .NET? It's called the REST API, which is the way almost all tools are headed for their APIs. It requires absolutely no drivers, files, DLLs etc., on a machine to take advantage of it. You commu...

Re: "invalid string error"- tm1 9.5.2- server explorer

the Cube that is refernced in the DB FUNCTION certainly contains the specified dimensions and elements. That's not what I said. Is the D_Product_Copy in the Manufacturing cube?????? If it isn't then you cannot reference it in a rule. That's because the rule syntax checker can only validate dimensio...

Re: "invalid string error"- tm1 9.5.2- server explorer

In your first rule you are referencing an attribute from the D_Product dimension and then in your second rule you are pulling a value from a cube called bem_test_product_attributes. However, it looks like that cube does not use the D_Product dimension but a copy of it called D_Product_Copy. Which of...

Re: Rules Created by Links are not allowing us to copy data from source version to target version

Based on your skill level, as demonstrated in your posts, and the hideously complex TI code you posted I am going to go out on a limb and say you did not write this TI process. I suggest you contact the consultant who wrote this process and pay them to debug your issue. I doubt anyone here is going ...

Re: fileexists and dimensionexists

i tried this if(FileExists('filename')=1); ExecuteProcess('dim_name'); else; ProcessQuit; endif; but this one is sending the process into loop No, it isn't sending your process into a loop as you do not have any looping code, i.e., no WHILE statement. What you cannot do is use this logic in the Dat...

Re: TI view wizard filters by code?

The answer is to write an MDX query that does the filtering you want, assign that to a subset and use that subset in a view that is ultimately your data source. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend you spend time reading the MDX Primer to learn all the different ways you can filter subsets. You'r...
