Re: Rules Created by Links are not allowing us to copy data from source version to target version

Based on your skill level, as demonstrated in your posts, and the hideously complex TI code you posted I am going to go out on a limb and say you did not write this TI process. I suggest you contact the consultant who wrote this process and pay them to debug your issue. I doubt anyone here is going ...

Re: fileexists and dimensionexists

i tried this if(FileExists('filename')=1); ExecuteProcess('dim_name'); else; ProcessQuit; endif; but this one is sending the process into loop No, it isn't sending your process into a loop as you do not have any looping code, i.e., no WHILE statement. What you cannot do is use this logic in the Dat...

Re: TI view wizard filters by code?

The answer is to write an MDX query that does the filtering you want, assign that to a subset and use that subset in a view that is ultimately your data source. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend you spend time reading the MDX Primer to learn all the different ways you can filter subsets. You'r...

Re: User defined consolidations in a slice

What you're asking for can only be done using the Server Explorer/Architect interface. When you are in Excel only there is no functionality to modify a user-defined consolidation. There is an undocumented feature in TM1 where you can reference a subset name, in place of a member name, in a DBRW form...

Re: Filter a string cube data in MDX

What you've encountered is one of the limitations of MDX subsets in TM1. I suppose what you are looking for is for the MDX to return all the Users where the Department measure has "DeptA", correct? Unfortunately, you can't do this through an MDX subset as it can't iteratively cycle through all produ...

However you could perhaps make your subsets dynamic with MDX instead of static members
Indeed. As a general rule I make all my user subsets MDX-based, if possible, even if it only has one member to avoid the problem noted in this thread.

Re: TM1RPTROW Repeat Problem

Your syntax looks OK. What I think it might be is "bad" rows that were in the form when you published it. What I recommend is removing all the rows below the TM1RPTROW formula and then republishing it. This is pretty much standard practice for many of us you have been working with TM1 for a long tim...

Exactly how are you using the MDX? In the TM1RPTROW formula? Perhaps you should post what's in that formula.

Re: TM1RPTROW Repeat Problem

I don't know why you are using DRILLDOWNMEMBER. If what you want is TOTAL CONTAS ORÇAMENTÁRIAS and all it's first level children I would use DRILLDOWNLEVEL:

Code: Select all

{DRILLDOWNLEVEL( {[GRL.D.Contas_Contabeis].[TOTAL CONTAS ORÇAMENTÁRIAS]})}

Re: TM1RPTROW Repeat Problem

Gtonkin, I'm really gratefull for Your Help. As It is an intermittent Problem, I'm still testing, but I think the issue is gone! Thank You so much for Your Help. It's intermittent because you are referencing TM1SubsetBasis() in your MDX code. You need to replace that with TM1SubsetAll() in order fo...

Code: Select all

['Changed',{'A','B'},'Expenses'] = IF (DB('Value',ATTRS('Status', !Status, 'Deltaelement'),'Expenses') = 0 , 1, 2);
Check your syntax on this rule. The proper syntax when using DB to reference a cube is:

DB('Name of Cube', Dim1, Dim2, Dim3....Dimx)

Re: TM1 Rule - Mixing And Or in a If Statement

You should never hard code rates into a rule like this. I know it is really easy but once you get a rule file full of this crap it's almost impossible to maintain or add onto. Make you inflation rate an attribute of the time dimension then no IFs ANDs or BUTs are needed.

Re: Drill from Cube View to Websheet

The drill functionality can only drill to another cube view or an ODBC data source. It can't "drill" to a TM1Web workbook. If this were a TM1Web workbook, instead of a cube view, you could do what you want with an action button. Otherwise you are out of luck.

Re: How to get an automatic cubeview refresh with TI Process

What exactly do you mean by "refresh the view". Do you mean change values in the underlying cube or do you mean recalculate the view automatically so you don't have to click on the recalculate button. If it is the latter then sorry, a TI process can't do that.

Re: Rule taking more time to load the cube view

This rule is taking more time to open the view At the risk of being a smart-aleck, what did you expect? The more calculations you add to a cube, the longer it's going to take to load. That's just the way it is and there is no way around it. Daisy-chaining periods together, like you are doing, is a ...

Just like you have an attribute on your Months dimension called "Prior", so should you have one called "Next". Re: VBA Macro errors in Excel 2016

I have seen this issue before. In my case the culprit was named ranges that had "Workbook" as their scope instead of the particular tab they were in. The fix was to re-do all the named ranges called from the VBA to have a scope equal to the tab they were located in. TIFWIW.

Re: Cognos Analytics 11.06 Kills TM1 Web

The reason we are thinking about using the same server is because we only plan on using CA for authentication and not any of the analysis products, which we'll end up disabling in configuration. You don't need the full Cognos BI suite installed to use CAM. There is a run-time component that you can...
