Any other changes to be done ?
Excel doesn't concatenate strings using the pipe symbol (|). Change your MDX code to not concatenate those strings together. For that matter, I don't understand why you can't make the MDX just one long string anyway???

Re: Using {AR01} functionality in a slice rather than Active Form

What is it that you want? A dynamic list of the elements in the subset along the rows or just one row that has the total of your subset elements? if it is the former then you either use an Active Form or you use my approach. You just have to add enough SUBNM formulas to cover for when the list expan...

Re: Using {AR01} functionality in a slice rather than Active Form

Create a subset of the elements you want and then reference them in a column using the SUBNM function going down the rows, incrementing the index parameter as you go.

tried TM1Rpt and tried specifying the alias in Alias parameter after Subset parameters. Didn't work.
Then you didn't do it right. It's best to use the function editor in Excel (click on the little fx icon next to the formula bar). This keeps you from specifying the parameters in the wrong order.

Re: MDX Issue

Have you read the MDX Primer? You should keep a shortcut to it and refer often. Check your syntax for filtering on cube values and your mistake will pop out at you.

The MDX function is UNION. You want to UNION your two results together.

Re: Tools to copy and rename TM1 object

There is no such tool, at least that I am aware of. This is why what you did, naming the TM1 objects with the DEV versus PROD construct, a really bad idea in TM1. If you need to segregate development from production it is best to do it on different services so you can have your objects use the same ...

Re: Excel: Element of Subset?

Hi there, is there a possibility to get the information (in Excel or in TM1Web, not via TI): Element xyz is part of Subset abc? You've heard of the SUBNM function, right? Simply supply it with the dimension, subset, and element name. If the element is not part of the subset then it will return blan...

Re: Pick Dimension Worksheet

It is almost unavoidable having some element names being all numeric text, so I don't worry about it too much. However, I never start cube or dimension names with a number, always text. Instead of 1Q Data I would have Q1 Data and so forth.

Re: Pick Dimension Worksheet

It appears to be just one more idiosynchracy that shows up when you begin TM1 object names with numbers. I try to avoid it wherever possible because of strange things like this.

Re: Prevent calculation of TM1 cells

Does anyone know of a way to conditionally prevent a DBRW cell from performing it's calculation? The answer to that question is no so what you need to do is go back to the drawing board and look at why you think you need DBRW formulas in a workbook in the first place that don't need evaluation. Per...

The bottom line is you are asking about an upgrade to a product that is over 5 years old, which in today's world is several eternities. Expect some pain. Install it in a test bed and give yourself plenty of time to work through the snags. Good luck.

Have you checked your memory? If it is slowing down after repeated processing that would be the first place I would look. You've probably used up all available RAM for stargate views and now it is having to resort to paging.

Re: Error Creating View Array

The issue is that all the views use mdx code to retrieve the version, none are hard written (therefore I assume not in need of fixing), I posted the mdx in my first comment. So the subset is MDX, great. Does it resolve to another actual member in your Versions dimension AFTER you removed the versio...

Re: Security Mode 5 with TM1 Native Groups

It's neither good or bad. It depends on your situation and how you're going to be able to assign the users to the groups. If having the groups in TM1 only helps you manage the security better then I would say it's "good".

Re: TM1RunTI in PA 2.0.3 with password file

I thought I can copy tm1runti.exe from C:\Program Files\IBM\cognos\tm1_64\bin64 on TM1 10.2.2 server and put it into PA2.0.3 environment to make it work. After testing, it apparently doesn't work. I didn't do the upgrade on existing 10.2.2 but just a new fresh installation of PA2.0.3. A pretty mass...
