Re: MDX Subset in TI Process

The string you are filtering for must be enclosed in quotation (") marks.

Code: Select all

vDataSet='"*'|v1|'*"';

Re: Active Form with Perspectives

In order for this to work everything for the zero-suppressed view have to be in contiguous columns. The columns you want to provide via a VIEW statement must be out to the right of the zero-suppressed section of the active form. If you mix them up the zero suppression won't work.

Re: Web Dashboards via REST API

Since what you will be doing is agnostic as to the data source I'm sure there are plenty of dashboarding toolkits that can deal with data in JSON format. Have you tried Googling that? If you are somewhat ambitious and have some web development experience there is always jQuery and jQueryMobile. Alth...

Re: How to know last cube updated time in TM1

The .cub file update time is only useable, when you make a saveDataAll before you copy, otherwise you don't know if there are changes. Actually, you only need to save that cube, not all cubes. If you include in your process(es) one that does a CubeSaveData command for the cube in question you can t...

Re: TM1RPTRow with MDX Expression that Returns zero elements

This is definitely a bug but it's been around awhile as I've had the same issue before. As a matter of principle I always put dummy elements in dimensions where there are going to be reports that may have no rows returned that say something like "No cost centers found", or something along those line...

Re: Upgrade action buttons

So I am looking for any alternatives to upgrade the action buttons which are not uploaded to TM1 server. Why? They don't have to be uploaded to their final resting place. They just need to be in an application folder somewhere. You can even do it on a development server and then move them to produc...

Re: Loading to Database; ideas

Another idea would be to use a subset of the dimension as the datasource and then do an ATTRS or ATTRN to get the values and write one SQL statement to insert all the values for each Project at one time. I wouldn't use a cube view with just one attribute because if the attribute is empty and you are...

Re: Pax & Perspectives => Active Forms not working

First off, the PAX and Perspectives add-ins cannot coexist. You have to have either one or the other loaded. It looks like the PA install program set the PAX add-in to auto load. It's simple, just stop it from auto loading in Excel. Then you can launch either PAX or Perspectves manually. As to your ...

Re: Journal validation - account combinations

Steve already gave you an answer that should have put you on the right path. Given your new facts you could just create three dimensions; one with the valid AB combos, one with the valid AC combos and on with the valid AD. Then in your TI you just test the incoming record against each of these dimen...

Re: Best Azure VM Type for Planning Analytics

I would be astounded if IBM support TM1 on any cloud platform other than IBM Cloud/Softlayer anyway. I don't know if the on-premise server license agreement specifically mentions restricting running it on your own hardware versus something in a cloud (other than IBM's) but I would imagine IBM could...

Re: PAx - DBRW/DBRS only when requested

Thanks! It is a bummer though, cause nesting gets me the efficiency. I'll try to reorganize everything and see if I can build it in a similar way with no nesting. Agreed. There are times when the nesting can be extremely helpful, especially when you are creating input forms. For data retrieval form...

Most of these are also nested in other standard excel formulas. The file works great, except can be very slow at times.
Nesting DBRW/DBR stops Stargate views from working. That's why it is slow. Remove all the nesting and try again.

Re: How to get - TI parameters labels and inputs on run time

Is there a way or function to dynamically pull all parameters labels and inputs on runtime in TI Process? For example GetProcessName(0) returns the current process being executed. I'm not sure what you are asking but you don't need to "pull" the input value to a parameter at runtime, it's going to ...

Re: Oracle ODBC set to Cognos TM1

So, you want to extract data from TM1 into Oracle using ODBC? You can't. TM1 does not expose it's data via ODBC. You can extract data from a TM1 cube using ODBO. Your best bet to get data from TM1 to Oracle is to push it from the TM1 side using the TurboIntegrator tool. You can execute SQL commands ...

None whatsoever if the purpose of the view is to serve as a data source in a TI process. This function is only useful when creating views to be consumed in the cube viewer.
